Ok, well wheels are on!!! Super dooper happy with the results, exactly what I was after.

Thumbs up to cruisn for leading the way with Onyx Met!
EDIT: would like to mention that the Onyx Met 36Y was mixed without the purple tint in the paint.

Enough chit chat... here are the pics.
Apologies about car park pics, had to take these pics while wife was shopping :D

Also, I ordered a set of MARS rear tail lights last week which I cancelled the the next day after asking paggaz about his. They refunded my $$$ via paypal but still sent the goods to me... so, I test fitted them

I gotta say a big THANKS to paggaz... I would so be kicking myself if I went through with the purchase.
Pics tell all...

... is that gap big enough? lol
Image

... why can I see the clips inside?
Image

... isn't that suppose to be flush with the boot lines? lol

Thanks for looking guys :drinks:

Exactly the finish I'm looking for with my wheels when the day finally comes that I can get to doing them. They look great!
I went through the same thing with the MARS lights and ended up going with black valentis. They are so lovely in looks and fitment. Nice headlights too! You're beating me to the murdered look already!

Sad day for the Liberty yesterday... :(

Found out I had a head gasket issue... something I suspected a few days after purchase as the car over heated a little and spat out coolant. Funnily enough, the car still drives normal, it's only when driving it hard that the coolant issue happens. We did the liquid test three times and it turned yellow three times

Sourced and already paid for a new low kms motor to go back in though, and booked in to swap everything over in the next week or two... will be off the road for no more than 3 days thanks to a good mech mate. :D

Cant the head gasket be replaced and still run the same motor?
Cheers

It can, but u would be looking at $2500-3500 as the motor has to come out. For a little more, I rather get a low mileage engine and drop it in. It has 3 months warranty on it so if anything was wrong with the motor I'm covered.

Oh that's fair enough. I had no idea the engine would have to come out. That suck balls big time. Yeah I would go a second hand or reco/rebuilt engine too if that were the case.
Cheers

THREAD REVIVAL! LOL

Ok, well since my car ain't selling... I figured I may as well enjoy the Liberty, and what better way than modding it!

Last weekend, I blacked out/color coded the grille

Image

and color coded the eyelids. The finish is not perfect, so doing it again this weekend along with the headlight washer covers. Going for the blackout front end.

Next will be custom dump pipe, then possibly I'll put in injectors, fuel pump and go E85...

Thanks for looking! :drinks:

Yeah I know what you mean. I finally sold my B4 today and it had 3000 views on carsales. Took 9 months to sell and the first person to look at it bought it.
