To complete my brembo setup all I needed was some braided lines. (rear rotors are being delivered)
I searched around to check out my options. I went to two local brake shop to see what some custom made lines were. One quoted $300 the other $320. I wasn't very happy with that so I went back to searching online. Found a few threads on other forums about how HEL lines could be sourced for less than a brake shop. I went on their site and they had gen4 lines for $224+$10 delivery. This was a sweet price but the problem was the rear lines had 'bent' banjo fittings to fit on the stock brakes... For the brake line to sit how it was intended on the brembo's it need straight banjos on the rear. I called the HEL performance guy yesterday and said this is what I need. I recieved them today. 1 day later, custom fittings and all. I'm more than pleased! :D

Ok so I got this steering wheel a while back for a fair price from a wreckers. Honestly I have no idea why subaru didn't put steering wheel controls on the gen4 pre-face. Only the spec-B's got them :( (and auto GT's as well but they're shift buttons)
Anyway the lack of buttons was really pissing me off with the touch screen stereo. I just found it difficult to change tracks and volume while moving. Anyway, seeing as I had a wheel off the car I decided to re-skin it (DIY). It was in pretty good condition when I got it but I'm wrapping it in nappa (really smooth) leather with red stitch from redlinegoods.com

To accompany it I'm also getting a red stitch shift boot, handbrake boot, and console cover. Normally I would think this is a little ricey but as the car is themed with red accessory lighting it just seems work. Well in theory anyway. Waiting on arrival of the parts. I'll do a write up when they get here.

Anyways I got this recently. It's the start of my red stitch them. It's nice not having the plastic shifting pattern thing. It feels better on the hand.

Thanks everyone! I'm really loving the liberty. It's such a good platform to start on compared to other cars I've had that have no aftermarket.

End of uni needs to come sooner! I can't wait to get these brembo's painted and on.

It's was my brothers Pathfinder so I don't get to enjoy the handiwork but it was a pretty sweet mod! Not to mention the LED's were only a few dollars worth.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

So these finally arrived today. That's it! I have every single part (touch wood) that I need to install brembos sitting on my floor! Can't wait for December to come so I have some time to re-paint and fit them! I also grabbed some brembo bleeder caps as I was missing two and my OCD wouldn't allow that haha.

I scored these for an mindblowingly low price (seriously). Lets put it this way, T2's would have cost me more. PM me if you want more details.
(don't mind the crotch shot, haha)

I also grabbed these the other day. Scored them on the whole $75 +$25 postage keymotors deal on ebay. They're super sporadic to come up so you have to bookmark it and check all the time. That wasn't so fun. Also this seems like old stock? All the tape on the box was super degraded. I suspect it's been sitting for a while. Wasn't gonna post a picture till I fitted them but it's started raining (in bloody November :( ) So I'll have to wait until that stops.

It just takes practice and youtube. I learnt heaps buying introductory electronics kits. They taught me about different components and how circuits work and some basic soldering. From there alot of it was internet based learning.

That being said, I started Mechanical Engineering at uni this year and that helps heaps! So many lecturers brains to pick. +we did some soldering classes which definitely improved my technique. I've seen these offered as night classes before, they definitely come in handy. :)

Just some food for thought
