New goodies for engine bay. Process West TMIC kit. Looks great but didn't have the gains I was expecting (a dyno might show an improvement - but couldn't really tell the difference in the drivers seat)

71.3Nm & 14.5kw extra is a significant improvement Kim. Not to mention the additional consistency of boost in nearly all conditions.

Had a 2.7 quick steering rack (from WRX STi Spec C) fitted today. Stock rack is 3.3 (turns from full lock to full lock) - so this is a tiny bit sharper. The main difference I noticed is that it feels stiffer - definitely not as sloppy/loose as the stock rack. More road feedback.

What strut brace are you running, and how much clearance between it and the PW TMIC?

I believe the pre-FL GT Spec.Bs and STIs had a 2.7 turn rack too - the downgrade to the 3.3 turn rack in the stock post-FL cars is a shame - it was done to appease the US market as I understand it.

You said it feels stiffer - is the steering effort also harder? I've got a ~2.4 turns lock to lock rack coming, and I was considering a DAMD steering wheel as well...

Have the tuned by STI Liberty strut brace. Seems to be a fair bit of space between that and the TMIC - I'll check tomorrow. There's definitely no risk of it touching.

Yep steering effort slightly harder with the 2.7 (but in a good way - more road feedback). The 3.3 felt like a toy steering wheel sometimes - could steer it with my little finger.

2.4 would be better still I think... did you have any issues fitting the 2.4 to yours?

Interesting. Should my steering rack go on my car, I'll look into the same steering rack you got cynner.
Cheers

Just had a Blouch TD05-18G turbo fitted (8cm housing, billet wheel)...

First revision of the tune has it looking pretty good in sports mode (awaiting tune for sports sharp). First impressions:

— off boost feels much smoother (hoping for slightly better city fuel economy)
— the 'sucking' sound of the CAI is heaps quieter (I guess as boost is coming on a bit later when exhaust noise is also louder)
— kicks in later but no obvious feeling of lag
— boost seems a lot stronger and doesn't fizz out as much at higher revs (feels very smooth and continuous power delivery)
— doesn't have as much of a 'kick' as I was expecting... sports sharp tune might change this.
