Should be personally obligatory to have a wideband and gauge once any performance mods are done

What real purpose does these things have?? Besides the fact they show you if its running lean?? I cant tune my car so it would still not help me. I still have to trust the tuner.

The purpose is that you can see if the car is working within a safe operating range.

not many power supporting (eg injectors, pump) or monitoring (eg afr, tactrix) mods. :(

Injectors and pump shouldn't be required with a VF46 as far as I understand it. In fact you can push a VF52 pretty hard before either are a concern.

I don't think it's possible to do too much monitoring though, I totally agree with you there. If you don't know what's going on, you don't know what's going on...

Stock injectors wouldn't be closer to being maxed out at 200atw?
Stock pump, 150 lph, 120k old - was it even replaced at 100k service?
Where's the safety margin?
I'd be concerned enough at that power level.

Car has only 87k.

So pump doesn't not need to be replaced.!!

Sure. Pump is just one part of the puzzle.

I do feel bad for not speaking up sooner, however :(

Well if the tune is right, then there is no need to worry to look at it.

IF its tuned, its a set and forget!!!

But the afr's are different when measured from the mufflers on a dyno compared to a bung in the dump pipe.

I'd like to see a timeline of your mods tunes driving etc that lead to this outcome.
Having read the first page, I'm getting an idea though...

It is a hub dyno... power output does not relate to a roller dyno as they read about 10% higher. :D

My tune was not pushed to the edge, was safe as some of the current mods were not fitted.

Massive torque at low piston speeds that quickly drops away screams massive cylinder pressures to make that torque or higher boost at low rpm but that would need the boost to have been graphed. Notice how no other VF46 tuned Liberty has torque spiking at low rpm?
Have a read of this: http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopi ... 6&start=15

Quickest ringland diagnosis is to remove the oil cap while engine is idling, smoking from oil cap is bad

This. What does this mean?? Massive cylinder pressure?? How do u do that?? That sounds like it would hurt the head/head gaskets????

I have the boost graph, just cant upload from the iphone!!

Remember that servicing should be done by time or kms, whichever comes first.

Trying to make massive amounts of low piston speed torque needs lots of force pushing down on the piston, generally involves lots of heat. Idea is to have a flat torque curve for consistent cylinder pressures and thus force applied on the piston

Or e.g. Willall would suggest a midrange torque dip even for safety.
