Lets say (hopefully not) that hypothetically it is something else and requires full build
When you advertise it for sale, you will be hard pressed to find a buyer with a blown motor
I dare say you will not get much
I would much rather sink 5k into it to repair to a good standard and keep it for a couple / few more years
The amortization of the 5k over 3 years is nothing to pay for certainty of a sound motor. As if you sell and buy something else outside of warranty, there is no guarantee of being safe
And the $5k you spend on the lib will be less than the money you will lose if you sold it with a blown motor
Hope you don't have to go there but just saying
Mick
Yes you are correct!!
But im not showing any signs yet, some bubbling in the over flow bottle. So i would only trade it in, as i could never sell it to someone privately!! And the dealers aint gunna spot some bubbling in the overflow
I know its a bit of a dog act, trading it in for someone else to fix. But we are saving to buy a house and we are not gunna spend $10k on a rebuild.!!
Ive got it booked in on monday for a leak down test to see how bad or good the motor is.!!
Wife wants more info before sinking $3k into the motor to only find that its done a ring and it goes from $3-$10k. Cause if im gunna build it, im gunna BUILD it and not just slap some forged pistons in it and be done with it.
Hope this makes sense .!!!
Not a Subaru...... Something MUCH better
NOPE..... That's shit too. Bus anyone??
