its only got 130,000km on the clock, yeh may be to many hot shutdowns not sure i just want it fixed.

i would love to get some forged products put in while the motor is out but atm cannot afford it. maybe in the near future :wink:

So today I got my car back from Phil Lowe, Had a new Cosworth head gasket installed new studs and it's now running beautifully! Very happy with his work. Next installing new Turbosmart Kompact BOV and Grimspeed 3 port solenoid with a tune. Have to richen up my tune its running to lean.

Heres a photo of my facia kit i installed ages ago finally got a pic up, wrapped it in carbon fiber thoughts??

please ignore the shitty turbo timer was installed by previous owner and cant be f#@ked removing it :rolleyes:

plus a little update, the shitty MRT Ecutek tune will be removed next week and will be getting it re-tuned will post the results once its all done.

Looks good, fits nicely with the rest of the dash. Has the turbo timer caused you any issues? From what I've read they can cause a bunch of headaches and aren't exactly useful for these engines.

Nah never caused me any issues but I dont use it, they are not need with moddern cars but I havent got around to uninstalling it.

Update:

i have changed my username from illestlib to chubbs now so they are all the same on the other forums.

Tomorrow i will be getting my shitty MRT Ecutek tune removed finally! :yahoo: its been a battle but its finally going in the bin where it belongs, then on Wednesday i will be getting the car re-tuned at Springy Performance i will post up results when i get it back :D

so here are my results.

I am happy with 163.9kw i got it tuned so it would be safe and i didnt get anymore issues like the Ecutek tune did. The car drives so much smoother! My AFR is now 11.5:1 at WOT not like the Ecutek (13:1 WOT)

now that the car is running healthy and i dont have to worry about it blowing up i can now look at the next stage and that is more powere, so ill be saving the dollars for some bigger mods :D

Thats a pretty good result. I noticed you did the MRT Dump and PHAT quads, does that include the mid pipe upgrade too? Also, how do you attribute the filter/intake upgrade to the overall result?

Yeh upgraded the center pipe also to 3inch. The intake hasn't made much difference to the stock intake it just makes more noise.
