Apologies for the thread hijack but was just reading through and noticed the PW intercooler comments. Does anyone know if the PW intercooler with stock bov will hit the bonnet?

Many of us with Kido tunes are only running about 15/16 psi max boost in S#.

It's not all about maximising boost. Drivability is all about torque in the right rev range.

At the time, I was having gearbox issues (old burned fluid). Matt had kept the boost low until that was sorted out.

That's fixed, and new tune does 18psi I believe - going to get it onto a dyno at some stage soon...

Yeah. Life got in the way - my employer got hit by the ANZAC Day hailstorm, and I'm only starting to come up for air after dealing with that. Have also had a few other issues that I've needed to deal with at home.

In other news, I have a set of MY11 WRX seats. Currently working out how best to adapt the airbag and seatbelt sensor connectors to my car (the physical fit is perfect)... :)

Not really a mod, but I did a Super Sprint at SMP (North Circuit) today. PB was a 1:25.

I suppose one might call this a mod:

Yes, the paint literally melted.

My rear pads were pretty too:

I guess engine braking isn't a thing for the 5eat?

It's there, and it helps - but SMP is known for being horrible on brakes, and my car was weighed at 1608kgs (with me onboard).

It was also my first proper track day, and I'm sure I was doing lots of things wrong.:)

The 5eat should have more engine braking than a manual, at the very least the same. Hence why it has an extra clutch engaged when in Manual mode.

Either sticking the shifter into manual mode or simply using the paddles (as this automatically puts it into manual mode) will activate engine braking.

A spirited track day will be hard on the liberty brakes regardless...and I have to say that looks like you had fun Rob!
