Hi all,
Back in March '13 I took th plunge and got back into a Liberty again after being away for over 3 years. Ive owned an RS Liberty in the past and had a blast. The only car I could compare to the handling of a Subaru (any Ive driven) would be a Porsche.

Anyhow, I flew up to Sydney in March and bought myself a late model 2006 (MY07) Subaru Liberty 3.0R B Spec Pearl White sedan which was fully optioned. (Photos to come).

My plans for the new one are pretty basic and may seem plain to some (Im just over the massive modifications to daily driver cars now) but they are...

[*]Full repaint in a custom white pearl. I want to removed the "Oyster Shell" look from the pearl overlay. Which will start in around 2-3 weeks time so plenty of pics to come.
[*]Repaint of the wheels with a custom ice chrome paint.
[*]Absolutely clean every inch of the interior. Ive already removed the drivers seat to vac under it (But I found a $5 note :D )
[*]Replace any bits of the interior Im not satisfied with...already started.
[*]Final step...is to start coming out to some cruises and meetup with all the other Melbourne boys.

Look forward to hearing your comments once I get into it.

Interesting choice considering the pearl white is one of the best looking & most sought after colours from the range. Good luck with it, will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Depending on your cars condition though a good 2 stage detail with a specific sealant might actually reduce that pearl look you are talking about. Far cheaper than a full respray too :D

I hear ya, but for me respray = cost of the paint and slab of beer...Im an ex panel beater so all the prepwork I can do myself, buy the paint and some beer and the old boss does his thing and waves the gun.

Here a few pics I snapped in the yard at work tonight.

Looks really nice Jarrod, I like it!

Black rims on white always tends to look pretty good.

Going to continue on with it? Grille maybe?

Need some good sunlight to show off the effects of the black chrome paint.
