YES its for a RHD & comparing the photos on his website the LHD is slightly different to the RHD










I haven't decided on whether to keep the oil pressure gauge (not connected yet) or swap it for my water temp gauge

Initially i wasn't to keen on the finish but once its installed its fine & the only other issue was i had to make up a small bracket to mount the door spring to other wise it would fall down while BOOSTING

Great pictures... yes the finish looks odd at first, but once its installed you cannot even see it. The color is what is important.

We will have to talk more about the door spring, I am not sure what the issue is there. My prototype dash here did not have issues with the door.

Are you able to close the door with your gauges installed? You should be able to... but I figured I would ask because you did not take pictures of it closed.

From his description, I'd say the door is closing itself under maximum acceleration, which isn't really the fault of your bracket.

My bracket must be taking away something that normally holds the spring for the door. On the JDM console I have, my Cubbypod does not effect the spring. In fact, you cannot even see the spring.

On the Liberty, do you have to press on the door, then it automatically springs open? Or... is it like the US Legacy where you just flip it up with your hand and a spring holds it open? The JDM console is really nice, you just press on it gently and it auto-opens. That is what I designed this product around. The US model does not affect the spring though, and this is not that far off from the US model.

Ours is like yours. You open it manually and a spring holds it up.

I will have to come up with something for that spring then I guess.... the console I have is fancy, they get the good stuff in Japan I guess

The U.S. cubbypod does not take away the spring feature, but according to cj1177 I guess your spring is different. No biggie - we will figure it out.

New bracket has been designed and prototype will be complete today. The JDM console does not have a spring, so I will have to send this bracket over to cj1177 to test for me.

The JDM console DID have the mount for the spring - just no spring. It uses a different mechanism. This was good, because it allowed me to design the bracket for you guys.

EDIT: prototype spring mount fits like a glove. looks like my work is done here .....

fdm.......... What material have you used? ABS with water soluble support material, by the looks of it.

How do these things parts hold up over time, from my experience with fdm parts they tend to delaminate if the surface has not been sealed correctly, if appears that it is still raw.

I have sold hundreds of cubbypods over the past 2 years without any issues. Yes, its ABS. I will be molding the parts from here on out though..... the ABS is just for prototyping....

last spring mount prototype has been shipped... once this design has been approved these will be for sale on my website. I will let everyone know!

Are they hard to install?

I say they are easy (but I have done it a few times ). I have sold hundreds to the US and nobody had issues. The hardest part, if you want to pinpoint 1 area, would be taking out the center console. Even that is not bad. Just yank in a careful fashion.

Here are some pics.

Pop out the console evenly around





Undo top connector when it come visible (this is for light in cubby area)



Undo lower connector (for trip computer)



Now you have the console out



Take out just 3 screws to disassemble the console, the cubbypod snaps right into the part seen below. This is the "top" of the cubby storage area with the door attached.



Once the cubbypod is snapped in, it looks like this


Then install the console back together just like you took it apart

Gauges at a nice angle towards the driver.... and you can still close the door !!!!




The install is completely reversible, requires no cutting, no additional hardware, and provides an OEM look.

Nah its piss easy, those photos are of me removing & installing it into my car.
To remove the centre cubby, just slide a screw driver down the side, & leaver it out a little then get a firm grip of the console & pull hard.
It really is that easy.
Then unscrew the lower portion of the cubby & take care with the little clips at the lower front.
Put it all back together & your done
