Wow awesome result!

Congrats mate, are you happy with the auto mode/manual mode? What you wanted?

Hmmmm, Mick can weld and fabricate anything, I'm surprised he didn't fix the exhaust for you.
I remember he had to manipulate my mufflers to fit the X force Y pipe.
He stuck a big bar down the exhaust tip into the muffler and adjusted them to fit.
The standard mufflers were strong enough to handle it.

So you probably notice you have heaps more torque down low and the auto gets a bit confused about where the torque band is and changes down when you don't want it to? Manual mode fixes that.

Before the exhaust and tune, the top end was better. Do you find it the other way around now?

Yeah thats what he did.. stuck the bar down the exhaust.. it straightened the mufflers but the bar bent the tips. I think they can be bent back into shape though. Or at least close to shape. :?

I have heaps more torque down low, but I havent given it a good drive to test it yet as its mainly only been on the freeway since. I can definitely feel where the turbo starts to run out of steam though. Id say ill get the vh52 eventually. But for now its great. The sound it makes when flat out with the new exhaust is near a symphony

Thanks alexei!!
I honestly haven't tried the manual mode yet, just left it in drive on the freeway and way home. Drive in sport sharp mode is quite good im finding so im more than happy with that if I dont like manual mode.

I know they say you shouldn't go to the tuner with a figure in mind, but secretly id hoped for 180... I didnt tell MSR that so I was very hapoy when it came out of the dyno room with 180 :D

Yah I did.. I thought I told you that??
Anyway, I decided that my mostly city driving warranted the auto... plus not 1 manual wagon fitting my criteria came up in 5 months of looking. I love it though.. not as fun on twisties as I dont feel as connected, but ill learn how to drive it better and it will be fine.

Mate good solid work.

180 kw atw is nothing to be sneezed at. Specially in an auto.

Gotta get mine on the dyno once its all done.

I put the dyno sheets up on page 1 for anyone that's interested :D

The dip at the start of the curve looks very weird to me, but Mick said it was because of the auto gearbox's... cant remember exactly what he said but it was something to do with him not being able to put the power down straight away or something like that.

For a stage 2 that is one sexy power curve, just keeps getting faster and faster!

As for auto shifting I think it's worth looking into this:

DSG FTW! Some have a launch function too...saves you having to drop the clutch or brake boost like with autos

If only subaru would listen

Its so good having an auto in traffic, but you need to wait and see which type of car you want to get. Some autos are pretty average. Some are great. Its a case by case basis I guess.

Do you know what type of car youd like next?

+1 for DSG, they're awesome.
My wife's Golf GTI has DSG and I keep telling her that I wish my Lib had DSG.
Only thing it costs a bomb to service. DSG oil costs $70 a litre and gearbox needs 5 litres. :-(

Wow. Group buy anyone?

Shouldn't be too often, the oil on the libs gets changed every 100 I think?
