The new steering wheel controls are in and looking pretty good, leds are now blue although sadly the dash cluster remains stock once I clean the car I will get some pics up am pretty stoked though
Yes I would love to make the dash blue had a few issues with the cluster and thought it'd be best to leave it as is until I get bored and have a 2nd dig haha
Haha wow I only just noticed my avatar is still the stock grill which I replaced a loooong time ago need to get onto that as soon as I give her a good clean
wow just read your whole thread! huge job man well done looks great, just a question. do you drive with those footwell lights and door lights on? because they would absolutely do my head in!!! while driving

Haha they're not as bad as one would think. On random occasion I might flick them on whilst cruisin round but majority of the time no I dont have them on. I had green neons in my commodore and they used to give me headaches as my mates would always flick them on. The new days of leds haha so much neater
got a small switch up inside the fuse panel hidden away so noone can mess with it
I WAS about to clean up the new addition ('02 Hilux) and take a few happy snaps when I dropped the car off the get rear bearing replaced due to leaking when we bought it (was suppose to have been fixed prior to purchase) only to be told that whoever removed the bearing last used a grinder and has taken chunks out of the shaft. So not very impressed to today will be giving the mechanic who did the original work a long overdue phonecall on monday morning to ruin his week. Should get the ute back tuesday until then the suby comes back out to play
Installed Cobb short shifter today. Set it to lowest and maybe medium throw. At least to where the arm sits flush with the top when adjusting
Atm a bit hard to get used to. Havent missed any gears yet but have a straight rifle bolt action shift. Very stiff a different nvh to stock shifter. Diff noise and feel but so far am impressed just a matter of getting used to it I suppose. Just pops out of the boot saying hello I stuck some extra insulation under the shifter boot to hopefully stop a bit of tranny noise but havent driven it since then
Those extensions for the HID kits worked a treat now I just have to bend some metal and drill some holes to properly mount the relays I think I may have to slightly raise the shifter im finding the reverse lights are a bit dicky since installing the sts and am thinking it may not be engaging right for the reverse sensor. Ill have a play later and hopefully sort it out
Also installed a 2nd hand handbrake as my original one was scratched up from a 'professional' audio install but all happy days now
Just got word that a second hand dash has been wound correctly for my km reading of my odo and should be here monday week I would guess be good to rip the old one apart and change some things around:)
Also took some insulation out from under the shifter boot and the reverse lights/camera work as normal now. Was just a slight amount of pressure prohibiting it from keeping the sensor activated. All good now stiff shifting still getting used to might have to raise the stick slightly however will wait until its back on the hoist for when I get my prop shaft mounts
