The exterior colour looks amazing, and it sounds like the mods have made it the perfect mixture of daily driver and toy :D

Exactly what i was wanting out of this car, something comfortable day to day but then still be able to shred around the hills and punch it on a track. Love it!

shav wrote:OMG Im in awe the kind of power you getting outta this little thing. I was considering one of these prior to the lib but it was just out of my price range. Well done bloke. This thing sounds like a weapon.

Its a rocket! that power with DSG is seriously fast, theres absolutely no lag time and it holds 22psi through gear changes!
I’ll post a drive by vid after i fit the intake.

Man I'd love to see the vid. Hows the room in the back seat? Could it fit 4 adults with comfort?
Cheers

It's a hatch. Seats 4 more comfortably than a Lib. Drives better than a Lib and more reliable than any Subaru apart from the Tribeca perhaps... The only downside is...it's a hatch and only girls drive hatches :air_kiss:

Yeah its bigger than the lib inside... the roofline is taller, but its shorter than my old wagon.

Cool progress update, Jay. Sounds like it's coming along nicely.
In Canberra over the weekend, there was a Shannons German Auto Display. I had to walk away from the highly modified Golf's (including a 477kw Mk4 Golf) before I thought too much about buying one

Middle or right. I’ll let you choose.

Thanks mate! It’s been enjoyable. It’s always nice starting from scratch.
There are a lot of damn fast golfs out there. Most recently a video of a MK5 GTI getting down the quarter mile in 9.7 seconds!
