About that update... Things are happening too fast to post :P
But I have to mention a good group buy that's happening right now over on OzFoz for awesome Oetiker step less screw clamps, just what you need to go with your inlet and boost silicone :good:

Pierburg EBCS bracket install: isolation mounting :good:

With the Pierburg tightly ziptied to the very solid stock EBCS bracket, I could easily hear it rattling away under boost.
That can't be great on a car with a knock sensor mounted on the block just a foot or two away, so when member Cynner offered a neat, well fabricated Pierburg bracket I ordered one immediately. Whilst waiting for the post I spotted a photo of a 3 port online with a bobbin style rubber mount, which got me thinking...

Image
Using the extenders to tighten the MAP sensor bolt. Note gaffer tape holding the nut in the socket...

Image
Undo the EBCS and MAP plugs to get the vac hoses routed without kinks.

Image
After a few tries with some high density foam carved to shape I finally came up with a combination that completely isolated the 3 port from the both the mount, the MAP sensor and the alternator mount. The zip ties wrap right around the C shaped piece of foam cradling the 3 port, there is an L shape piece to the rear left isolating the MAP sensor, and the other 2 pieces isolate the wiring from the alternator mount and the top of the bracket from the engine cover.

Image
The 3 port plug is double sided taped and ziptied to the 3 port body and all the foam has double sided tape to hold it in place.

Image
I added zipties to all visible vac hoses, cleaned the MAF (used a little Perl to lube and seat the MAF O ring properly), dropped in a new Cosworth filter (thanks Alexei), reset the ECU... And...

Image
Before...

Image
After... an hours driving, city and freeway, and a couple of pulls. Niiiice 8)
So that really reinforces the point of keeping the engine bay completely rattle free and locked down.
My next mission will be to upgrade and neaten up all of the other little bits of isolation foam I've installed on all the covers in the engine bay.
Thanks to Cynner for the bracket and Matt for the isolation idea.

I bet you, that knock will be back. 8)

Probably just phantom knock, but IMO you need E85 juuuust in case. Yknow, to take car of all possibilities.

I replaced my triple sealed HKS foam filter.
Like stock, the Cosworth filter is sealed on one side, drops in easy and has what looks like fine filtration :good:

Clean the MAF sensor with CRC MAF cleaner.
Lube and seat that O ring carefully, take an LV, and reset the ECU :)

Creasing the MAF o ring seem fairly common so I'll be on the hunt for a replacement soon :)
