Rear footwell lights

I'm going to try rear footwell lights tomorrow however because there isn't any existing lights I need a power source and trigger.. I'm thinking tap into the wire/loom that plugs into the back of the door open/dome light trigger switch?

Any ideas from those that 'know'?

/for mine he had them running to the front footwell lights which went off the power source / cabling for the door lights im guessing

For the back seat yea? I'm hoping to have them turn on when the back door opens.. I've got a multimeter, will do some tests.

Now just need to work out how to get in behind there

So did some testing, unfortunately I didn't have my multimeter on hand and it seems that this loom does not supply a 12v current.



The LED strip was very dim in comparison to when I plugged it in to the front setup. Any ideas? Is there any dome wiring in the taped up looms that run under the back seat?
