After waiting over 3 months the coilovers arrived... So had a big day replacing a wheel bearing and fitting/setting up the coilovers, absolutely love it, completely different car to drive, wheels, grill and exhaust are next!
Painted the calipers a couple of weeks ago also I'm really happy with how they turned out.

Coilovers fitted, happy with the height, will play around with it more when the new wheels go on.

Yep that's the site I got them from! Great quality, I used a Dremel and sander to get the face of the caliper smooth before painting. Can get them for the rear also but I just did fronts.

I noticed yours didn't have the lip where the castings obviously joined... thought maybe mine were just duds haha
Right well I have a lot of work to do!

Spent about 3 hours prepping but would have been a lot quicker if I used the Dremel straight up!

A couple of minor updates, after the wife whinging about the coilovers for months on end I swapped them with a bit of cash my way for billies and STI pinks, very happy with the ride now, sporty enough for a daily and relatively comfy. Chucked some roof bars on for the mountain bike and paddle board. Kangaroo jumped into the side of it a few months ago so had the door skins replaced and respray on drivers side, also bought some damaged 18" wheels, repaired and painted them as a bit of a mighty mod project and pretty happy with the outcome, now I know I want Black RPF1's next time I'm up for tyres. Next is F&R slotted rotors, pads, home made honeycomb grill, STI lip and a tune. Thoughts on a light tint on the tail lights?? Love the STI tail lights but not the price..

Productive RDO today! Fitted the new brakes and couldn't be happier.

- T2 Rotors F&R
- Intima SR Front pads
- Intima SS Rear pads
- Stoptech braided lines F&R

Happy with the upgrade over standard, feels like I imagined they should now!

Realised I'm up for a few bushes whilst under there so that'll take priority over grill and lip for now

Great Thread mate thanks for sharing all the mods!
Thinking of painting my stock callipers, yours came up great. Did you use an undercoat and also a clear top coat over the decals? Also, is that just a standard high heat paint like that available in a spray can from super cheap? Cheers mate well done

Thanks mate! No I just cleaned them up with a Dremel and sander so there were no ridges on the front surface, cleaned well with parts/brake cleaner and just used the generic high temp caliper paint from super cheap auto, I probably should have cleared somehow as one now has a chip but it's not overly noticeably so I'll just leave it! Thanks for the feedback :)

Hey guys! Was going to post on the facebook page but it makes my brain hurt, we are looking at selling the wagon, it now has high kays at about 245,000, serviced every 5,000km and the 200,000km service was done. What do you think it's worth to sell??

2.0GT
5EAT
18" Alloys, standard 17" rims included
Bilstein shocks and STI Pinks
T2 DBA Rotors and Intima pads (SS rear, SR front)
Tow bar
Rhino roof bars

Other than that mechanically standard, body is straight but has a few car park marks, stone chips etc.

I was thinking $7.5k-$9k is that a bit ambitious with the kilometers???

I would say 9k is a good starting point. Everyone seems to want to haggle for cars now days, so it leaves you a little wiggle room if you're willing to go down to 7.5k.

P.s. If you want me to buy those pink springs off you, i'd be more than happy to oblige ;-)

Looks like you've put in a fair few hard yards. Why the sudden urge to let it go?
