The wife's wagon

Postby Mav954 » Wed Jan 30, 2013 7:39 pm

Hey guys, thanks to the help of many members here we picked up our MY06 GT wagon today, absolutely love the thing and could not argue with the price, plans are to keep it nice and subtle, tint will go on this Friday and got a few minor cosmetic things to do to get it neat, I'm annoyingly anal with any marks or dints so ill be getting the few shopping trolley dints sorted after the tint. Anyway, the missus is glad to be out of her pulsar and into the liberty we are so stoked with the whole package.

Just going with a 20% all round, I think it'll still look nice enough and should still be pretty practical, it's what's on my hilux and I don't seem to mind it, will chuck a picture up after its done!

Yeah at first it never stood out to me, until we saw a sedan in the flesh and fell in love with it, really suits the lib

So the suspension is needing some attention with the rear struts squeaking and sagged springs, rang our new suspension place in town that specialise in Bilstein and said there is nothing available for our wagon from Bilstein only Tein... So that being said, where can I buy bilsteins online? Would like it a little bit lower but I do tow a bike trailer a few times a year so don't want it to be too low in the ass, any help would be much appreciated! Also if I'm replacing the struts is there anything else I should do while I'm at it?

Cheers

Also could it be worth considering coil overs? It's the wife's daily and our roads are pretty rough around here, but open to all avenues

Wouldn't bother with coilies on sh!t roads.

But a Set of Bilsteins would suit it well, give a small drop (10-15mm depending on spec level)
We have junk roads here in Tassie and the billies in my wagon are great.

oh, and I'll be removing my set very soon in favour of some TunedBy STi specced Bilstiens.

Yeah I'll stick with the original plan of the billies, where does everyone order them?
