Interesting, I may have an opportunity to grab an 04 spec C dccd box n rear diff, so looking into installing the torsen front diff and maybe the spec b 5th & 6th. :)
I'm assuming your 6mt is short ratio, do you find freeway cruising to be a compromise in any way? Iirc it's only an extra 300-500rpm, probably more gentle on the clutch :P

Yep totes stock with a shagged clutch atm. Open front, torsen r180 rear on a tired viscous centre. Thus the opportunity for upgrades... why not go all out... within reason.
In reality, it's a want vs need thing, I've ridden shotgun in Owens bspec at Winton, black spur etc, and the open diff didn't seem to compromise his ability to attack the course. If anything it's the whole BP/BL chassis that's the limiting factor, according to Owen the VA chassis is just so much better. So yeah diddling with dccd boxes etc is potentially just rolling the log in glitter :P
Interesting thread I'm following:

Do you find the close ratio box to be any compromise in freeway use?

The biggest difference for me was going to the initial 6MT setup. Actually having the driveline pulling through the corner instead of skipping the inside front makes a huge difference. Diff upgrades were icing on the cake.
At 100kmph the 6MT in 6th its running about 300rpm less than the 02GT 5MT in 5th, so overall its better.
