HKS EVC ELECTRONIC BOOST CONTROLLER

Postby XRC15T » Sat Oct 28, 2006 12:44 am

Had this supplied and installed a coupla weeks ago by PHAT GT,
Installation fitted nicely with a little modification in my top cupholder next to the spray controller for easy fun button access and sleeper hideaway with the sliding door. (had to mod the cupholder bit to fit all 3 toys in there)

The EBC comes with controller module and VDU, you can use either to switch modes.
Has 2 adjustable profiles A & B, and can be switched off to return to stock setting. Scramble mode, Pin lock to avoid accidental adjustments and saftey shutdown.

I set mine: A as Low and B High.
When it was on a super low setting (under stock), the car felt like it kicked a lot harder, am still mucking around with it and each time its more satisfying and it's piss easy to use. :D

Thanks for the quick delivery and awesome install Mike. :good:

Coupla other boys got em as well - Post ya Installs!

Spin ur head.... or flip your screen vertical.

Benefits: :yahoo:
Cons:
I keep wanting to play with it.
Will get you curious for more mod options to crank it up.
Also the green annoys me a bit....should be red...

EBC - worth the money?

Postby hieu1976 » Wed Mar 21, 2007 8:48 pm

hey guys,
sorry to revive an old thread. I'm considering getting a HKS EVC EBC - but want to understand how much noticeable performance gain there is (on the same max. boost). Does boost come on alot earlier? Is it worth the $700+?

Thanks
Black MY05 Liberty GT. Sti front lip, STi rear spoiler.
Hi-Tech Turbo-back exhaust (with quad tips). HKS Panel filter. Resonatorectomy. SprintBooster fitted.
35mm lower on Pedders Sports Ryder springs. Whiteline rear sway bar. 19" ROH Modenas.
