First "mod" was an AUX cable. Hard to believe it cost $120. I don't have any pics of me installing it as I was too busy cursing at the clips. Seriously, Subaru has some wicked strong clips all over the interior.

Next, as requested by the other half, was reverse sensors. I picked this particular setup as it was the closest I could find to the one that the wife has in her own car. Seems to just be a newer version.

Now on to the front bar. It had a scrape from the previous owner and the usual stone chips and scratches that will never buff out so I decided to have it repainted.

Getting it smoooth ...

The paint on the reverse lockout lever had worn off a fair bit, not sure how this happened but once I realised it would be too much trouble to remove it and respray it I decided to just remove the paint completely and have it black.

Get some of the wife's nail polish remover (preferably acetone-free)

With all the paint removed, the plastic looks a little dried out.

So I applied some "Klasse AIO" which is a paint cleaner/polish that is also safe for plastic and let sit for about 15-20 seconds.

After which I buffed it off for a good two minutes, leaving a healthy shine.

All done.

If you do this, make sure you have all your windows open or you'll end up with a nasty headache or worse.
Next items on the list:
- Full detail inside and out
- Repair/repaint the wheels (or get new ones?)
- Hunt down rattle in passenger footwell
Once all that's done and the wallet has recovered from Christmas, we'll see about some real mods.
