Transmission: TZ1/ACT-4 (Active Torque Split) 4-speed Automatic transmission

Running Gear: AWD 90:10 Torque split (Under normal conditions) Viscous Rear LSD, Open front diff

Interior: GX trim nothing fancy, Blue interior LED lighting in the dash/roof, JDM cup holders, Black Front and Rear Seat Covers with silly blue dragon design

Exterior: Painted on body kit and sexy roof racks, lotsa stickers, dents and scratches, Driving lights, Black hub caps

In car entertainment: Kenwood KDC-MP5043U, AM/FM/CD/MP3/AUX/iPod/USB Head unit, Sony xplod 6" in coaxials the rear, Pioneer 6.5" Splits in the doors and Pioneer tweaters, GME TX-3100 Two way UHF Radio, iPod

Brakes & suspension: Unsure may be normal GX may be RX the option code on the plates say RX but the badges and the trim and lack of sporty bumpers say it's a GX so still unsure, it doesn't have abs though

Exhaust: Someone's messed with the mid-pipe it has an extra muffler in there, The rear box is a Pex Megaflow Semi-Straight-Through Muffler with a 3" Chrome tip welded on

Mods: EJ25 Engine swap

Positives: It's a wonderful drive, through all the cars i've owned this is the first where the rear end follows the front, doesn't lag after it and twist and bend, and it's a wagon! haha, the suspension is tight but still comfortable and the car is well 18 years old and has had a life off road in the sand before i had it, it's terribly versatile the rear seats fold completely flat which is the main reason i wanted a wagon for going bush or to doofs and having somewhere to sleep without having to make a tent, the AWD makes it feel like such a confident drive i'm so happy i didn't go with a fwd camry or a boat like a commodore or falcon wagon, the brakes are brilliant but they aren't abs so when they do lock it all comes down to tires, the seats hold you well and are the most comfortable i've sat in and there's just enough options to be comfortable but not overwhelmed i would like variable dwell times on the front wipers and a on setting for the rear not just intermittent for rear,

Plan: a couple of active subs, seat covers, re trimmed door skins, cargo blind, replace missing switches and stuff and maybe an RX front bumper, if i'm lucky jdm projector headlights and a legacy rear wing, transmission cooler, suspension wise i'd like to see front and rear strut braces upgraded sway bars links and mounts and new shocks when they wear, also want some 17" black wrx rims,

It sounds like you've got it all sorted for what you want very nice.

Also with your wipers (variable fronts and constant rear) If you look on import monster, yahoo japan or somewhere you may be able to find an import stalk, my GTB has variable fronts and constant for the rear.

Also, yes, a legacy spoiler will fit the rear.

If you fit a rear strut brace I'd recommend fitting quick release bolts (like what road bikes have on their wheels) so that your drunken self can remove it and pass out in the back (this is my plan)

already thought of the quick release thing mind you i think i might get some off a bike cause the whiteline ones are like $60 bucks or something i assume just for the word whiteline on them,

got a new problem though got codes from the ecu for the temperature sensor and the code for what the book calls a starter switch? a mate of mine said if i give him the part numbers he'll get the bit through his workshop for me and i'll pay him later (sweet) thing is i can only find the temp sensor for the gauge and i wouldn't really know where to look for the starter switch, then once i have them in my hands i'm not even sure if they will have part numbers on them?

hey guys, as for this "starter switch" which the haynes manual says controls IAC and EGR which my ecu says is broken, would it be in this diagram i'm looking at now? still searching for part numbers and i still don't really know what this sensor/switch is Diagram

also does climate control just plug into an audm lib or would it be useless to me?

That diagram is labelled auto trans control device, I think you're in the wrong area. If you are experiencing a sporadic idle then you need to remove and clean the IAC (idle air control valve).
I'm on my phone atm but I'll have a bit of a search tonight at home and see if I can get you in the right direction

Code 12 - Starter switch - starter switch remains in ON or OFF position??? still confuses me as i read on about the different sensors the only one i see that sounds kinda similar is

"neutral start switch"
located on the upper part of the automatic transaxle,
indicates to the ECM when the transaxle is in PARK or
NEUTRAL. This information is used for Exhaust Gas
Recirculation (EGR) and Idle Air Control (IAC) valve
operation. Caution The vehicle should not
be driven with the neutral start switch disconnected
because idle quality will be adversely affected

still sounds like the neutral/park/reverse lights switch thing, which works normally?

I've had a bit closer look and read and from what I can see you are 100% right.

The part number you mentioned in your last post appears to be correct also.

great news, thanks for looking into that for me, my mate's ordering as we speak, on another note i'm getting a new exhaust tomorrow, catback, i blew out the rear muffler so the car is stupid loud sounds nice but still sounds like a broken exhaust, apparently the headers and cat etc have had something done to them recently because of the state of the gaskets and exhaust putty on the heads, i've been told it's stainless too so it should last, can't wait i've never bought a new exhaust before i've had fixes/changes (adding a cat to an illegal exhaust on another car i bought) but never a new one so excited

it's been a short while and the mods have been a plenty, i'll look over the car and get a list together and start to document/take photo's of what i've done and update ya's soon, looks like i'll be driving up north this weekend (wiluna, 2200km round trip) gonna throw the liberty on the hoist and treat her to new diff and gearbox fluids/filters/gaskets, fix the oil leak (new rocker cover gaskets), oil and filter changes including fuel sucked up some crap when the fuel light was on, air filter for good measure, new temp sensor and wheel balance aswel,

haven't had much net so updates will be sporadic

It's like Christmas! Only a couple weeks early...
