Cheers mate. Just need to find the time to look for another car as a daily. Works got me under the pump.

Got any cars in mind for the daily? I feel you with no time, between work and uni I haven't even had time to properly wash my car :(

Probably going to get a Subaru XV L or S model. Then tune it. Want something me and mrs can pack easy and go a little onto unsealed roads and the like. Doesnt have to be a big power plant and I know the mrs likes the XV's shape so its a win win. With the new model being released this year Im waiting on some of the current models to come right down in price. No rush.

Ive always like the thought of being able to get into a car and take it almost anywhere. The lib will remain as a weekender but with some more tweaking. The XV will be the daily cruiser. If ever I feel the need for some power, I'll jump in the lib. But yeah the XV is a good compromise for fun and stuff.

Have you looked at the XVs in person?
I always thought they were great cars until i saw the boot of one. They have a boot the same size as a mini cooper - no exaggeration!
I can only assume its because of a full sized spare or something??

Yes I have seen them. I know what you mean. The boot is small I agree. That said, I dont have kids. Shopping gets done 2-3 times during the week in small lots. Spare I think is full size. But not 100% sure.

Im not ruling out other makes and models at this point. The mrs doesnt want to rearrange the garage at the moment as it has her gym setup. It will mean she would need to relocate all the gym equipment elsewhere. She wants me to keep the Liberty for now and just use her sister's forester when I go off road which isnt often. But her sister has 2 kids and needs the car when I prefer to use it. So Im kind of in a bind.

Put it this way, if I came across a decent euro SUV or perhaps a wrx Id consider trading the Liberty and just dealing with it.

Hey mate, Im running Bilstein coilovers from Japan. They are the factory ones they have there so from the engine bay look stock. Handle great with almost stock ride quality. I've kept the ride height lower than stock but not stupid low due to the mid muffler scraping on speed humps if Im loaded. Handling wise, it handles as good as a set of lowered springs but has more compliance in bumps than a set of lowered springs would.

Price wise, not cheap. I got these second hand but they feel like new.
