Thanks everyone, I'm really happy with it at the moment. Plus it looks like I'm not getting the XXR's back from the parents hahaha.
Ill post some pics tonight better showing how they fit.
235 rubber fills the guards nicely :D

Next set will be 19's, some sort of Takumas. What design I don't know yet...

On the way. I will either be buying a mesh grill or if funds are low, DIYing my standard one.
Then coilovers.

Well my parents aren't giving back the XXR's, so new wheels, and new plans. I have some questions about my plans...

A few questions to anyone can answer: RAYS wheels retailers in Aus? I'm looking for prices, but if the cheapest I can find for the set I like are on IM for $680 a corner that's about $150 a corner more than I planned to spend. I know $500 a corner is ridiculous to get RAYS... So are there any copies? Or I could get Takumas...

Second: Where do I get side splats, OEM? I only want too, placed as so:
Image

Third: Rear diffuser options? What else is out there compared to Ultrex?

Fourth: Can you get genuine Subaru metal sills? Even better, can you get illuminated sills?

I've checked Import Monster for the Splats, no luck as of yet :(

Btw, if you look at the wheels/splats in the picture and then look at my plans, I think it will become clear which way I am heading...

Plenty of RAYS suppliers in Aus.

If your 100%, email Aaron an Import Monster and see what he can do. Dont waste his time with empty enquiries though.

Side strakes you mean. OEM, Ive only ever seen one set on IM in 4 years. They currently reside on my car. :D

There is aftermarket ones and Ultrex do an oem copy one.

Plenty of JDM diffuser options.

No metal sills for the Gen4, just plastic with the alloy insert. Illuminated? Yes, but dont go there please.

Thanks for your help Mark :good:

I will wait until I have the money until I e-mail him then. However, I don't think I'll get a set of four RAYS wheels for $2k, so I probably will stop looking. I haven't been able to find any copies of the Rays VR G25's :(

Side strakes yes, my mistake XD I have seen the Ultrex ones but they appear longer than OEM? I only want the two to put on the side skirt infront of the rear wheel, not the full set of six. I would sell the extras if all I could get was a full set. Will I have to go to Subaru directly to get OEM or is there another way?

I've already got the plastic ones on my car, I was hoping for alloy :( I like the illuminated sills when they're alloy. My uncle has them on his car and I think it looks good

Your car, your choice. I just give my opinion, but dont let that change what you intend to do.

Cant you keep the WRX wheels? Work well and fill out the guards nicely.

Ultrex strakes are indeed longer than oem. The oem strake sare the ones Im referring to when I say Ive only seen ones set for sale s/h. Theyre not made anymore. The aero splash guards behind the front and rear wheel arches are numerous new or s/h.

Illuminated scuff plates....

I have considered leaving the WRX wheels on, and at this stage they will be on for a few months. However I am still um-ing and ah-ing about 17's being too small. I love the look, the color and everything, but size matters... After seeing your cars though, I highly respect your opinion, so I'm going to do coilovers next, and then decide on wheels :D

I see. I may have to get some splash guards and try and adjust them to fit in front of the rear wheel like the strakes, that might turn out to look good.

I like those scuff plates but I think they're a pointless mod. So many more important things to do before then.
Can I ask though, why do you dislike illuminated?

The splash guards dont fit if reversed in front of the rear wheels. Tried it.

Illuminated scuffs are just a little ricey IMO and pointless.

i quite like those illuminated scuff plates, although my pet hate for blue lights still stands. i think it would look pure class if you changed that to a warm white. obviously just voicing my opinion for ideas.
i actually wanted some for mine.

Of course, should have known Mark. Well maybe some splash guards will be enough to satisfy my plans :D

I agree Jack, the white would make it a lot better! My uncles car has them in warm white, and they look classy IMO. You should get some and illuminate them green :)
I would consider doing my front two, the back however I'd probably leave plastic due to the shape when they have the rod for some sort of side impact safety I imagine.
