You may have talked me around, but it definitely needs brake + suspension work before I'd feel comfortable in it on a track.
After learning to drive in my parents cars, as much as I love the Liberty it is, currently, a little... floaty :)
When I get on my P's I will look into it, I have yet to find a track in QLD that lets you do a track day on your L's... XD

My badge arrived so here are some pics with the lip on, I think it's completed the look slightly more. Another thing off the list...
And as for the STI badge, what can I say, the extra 25kw is not only noticeable but it is actually jaw dropping.
Please excuse the leaves and crap in my bonnet protector. I am planning on getting rid of the headlight protectors though...

Looking the goods Kody,if your planing on keeping the bonnet protector maybe wrap it in matte black, it will tie it in with the lip and you wont see the leaves behind it 8)
Otherwise get rid of it and free up the front lines

If you want to keep it, Matt black is the way to go. I just did mine in Matt black and looks way better!

Lip looks very good! Which one did you get?
BTW, ditch the bonnet protector and keep the wheels. :D
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Thanks everyone, I love the look now with the lip.
Coilovers are delayed until post Christmas now due to cash, time, and the fact that they companies will be shutting down soon for Christmas.

I like the idea of the black bonnet protector, would paint or wrap be better?
Also, as a couple of optional ideas - nightshades tint on it? Matte clear PlastiDip on it?

I'll be getting the PlastiDip tomorrow for my taillights. If anyone in Brisbane wants some I can get it then and hand out either on the cruise or somehow else.

I'm also tossing up the idea of a 2012 WRX spoiler being put on... But I don't know yet.
A new grill is in the works (possibly) as are angel eyes. Good times are a coming :)

Hahaha Corsair, I'd love to keep the wheels but the scrubbing has to stop, so new wheels it is :(

Well while your picking up plastidip get some black and spray your protector and see if you like it. That way you can just peel it off if you don't.

After learning to drive in my parents cars, as much as I love the Liberty it is, currently, a little... floaty :)

Getting some thicker front and rear swaybars will sort out the floaty-ness quick-smart without the expense of going to coilovers, though the latter will help a lot as well. For brakes on a budget, just get some decent rotors and pads or alternatively look at a set of 3.0R/GT brakes.

Try to pour your money into functional mods first before cosmetics - they are far more rewarding. Each to their own of course, but please don't put a spoiler on it. It really... spoils the look of a Liberty and screams out that you're a younger driver.

As for track work, even if you haven't got the best setup in the world, go to the track anyway. You will learn a LOT about your car, including the best way to approach a turn, discovering its limits, how it behaves when you go past those limits, etc and that will only make you a better driver on the road. The effect of your functional mods will also be more noticeable on the track as well. Just find yourself a nice slow track with plenty of space. For example, most people in NSW start at Wakefield Park in Goulburn because most unmodified factory turbo cars will only clock up about 160kph max down the straight before turn one and there's bucketloads of run-off before you even hit any kitty litter, let alone tyre walls. You're not a turbo, so you have even less to worry about. Find your equivalent track locally and go for it!
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

Yeah, I agree the track work is second to none for experience of knowing your cars limits, and the brake upgrade and sway bars are planned.

However, due to a f*cked clutch, those mods will be delayed now. Not only did the clutch fail quite spectacularly (pics will come when the mechanic takes it out) but it also stalled my motor - cutting my brakes and power steering.
At the top of a hill.
With a stop sign at the bottom.
Doing 80.

Lucky my handbrake is tight and I managed to slowly pull it into some randoms driveway and not take out three cars at the stop sign :D
As such, my morning looked like this:
Started like this:

Then went to this:

Finished with the sight that broke my heart... :(

So, to finalize, I've had the car for two months and already, its on a tow truck.
