agan wrote:hey j, I have. I think part of the problem is I'm comparing to a pod filter set up, lol (drove my uncle's legacy in Singapore which had the k/n pod).

there is the hks super power reloaded (the mushroom) - also a dry one but I'm not sure the extra dollars with extra noise are any benefit for the actual performance haha. Thoughts??

If subaru air filters are ok for rallying then they must remove the fine particles without affecting the flow too much. (Up to a point)

You could get the cobb as Adam did.

Could certainly hear intake noises when driving his. Sounded good though my be too loud for some people.

I'm going to keep stock intake box and filter for now.
I only want to hear exhaust and turbo spool, but thats my call.

Hello, I was just wondering about the shipping for the rrev sports parts. How long did they take to get to you, and can you recall the extra shipping price?

Small update - pics to come later.

Fujitsubo Legalis installed - nice and quiet at low revs and just goes RAW at anything after 3500rpm. Should've done this from the start!!

Shout out to Matt again - for an amazing refinement to the the tune - S Mode pulls smoothly and S# well...just yells GET OUT OF MY WAY! :D :D

Now I'll just have to keep away from speeding fines...

So I'm itching again.

So thanks to Matt...TMIC is on the cards.

MIGHT go with a VF52 upgrade or thereabouts but we'll see. (Cost will stop me..for now)

From several accounts you get a fair bit more torque across the range so I am up for it - not necessarily looking for shit load of power.

So far:
http://www.carmodsaustralia.com.au/shop.html?category=112

PW $1035
Perrin $1200
AVO $792
AVO $1155 (with throttle body and BOV)
Grimspeed $1079

Research time....guess what I'll be doing for Xmas...LOL

You'll notice a big kick in the pants with the TMIC and bigger turbo. Have fun

lol. Not really looking for outright power given the auto boxes struggle anyway. Plus running stock internals is always a worry if we end up pushing past the 200 barrier (with such high mileage too)..so we'll see.

Matt's preference was mishimoto, but since they're no longer in production we didn't come up to a conclusion when we chatted last night. research time.

Fair call. Im not either, but that combo is a good increase that you'll notice. The mishimotos are a good unit if you can get your hands on one.
