Hey everyone.

Patrick from Perth. Figured I should probably get around to one of these pages, so here goes.

I said I won't mod the car. That was April 2012. And today...I blame the forum for infecting me with the bug :D

Credits to hks180 who got me started on the journey of being bitten by the mod bug. I say he passed it to me :D

So I will edit this post as we go...

I think I am done with mods (famous last words). If any mods are to come, they will be cosmetic mods more than performance. (Again, we will see..)

Mods to February 2016:

Bling:
6000k low beam
6000k HID reverse
Full LED treatment on everything possible
Black out headlamps with LED halos (low beam)

Rrevsports Type S Spoiler (Boot)
Roof lip spoiler (Credits to prezza)
Ultrex lip
JDM ABS & Battery covers
Takuma Racing RST 18x8 +42 Dark Gun Metal

Audio/Visual:

Audison powering 2x Focal Polyglass 33v1
Dynamat front doors, parcel shelf, boot floor and lid
OEM Sat Nav

Performance:
Ultrex dump pipe
Fujitsubo Legalis
Tuned by KiDo

Pierburg Boost Solenoid (credits to Matt)
Cobb cold air intake

Suspension & Handling:

Thanks for looking.

Tips / Comments / Suggestions welcome.

Alright. Enough of the small talk.

James: Post has been edited :)

Nathan: Thanks mate. Girlfriend reckons exhaust is loud (Hate to admit, but I do agree....can't really enjoy the music anymore LOL) ..So that's very much on my immediate to do list.

On another note, my best mate is visiting from KL and we'll be driving to Eseperance (approx 800km South East)...I'm hoping I won't go mental with the drone.

Nice driving shot with the halos and fogs on :good:

Will be keeping an eye on the Kido tune you are going to get.
Need a tune for future mods and everything sounds super positive for them.
Little nervous about the "remote" part though. You can be the guinee pig Patrick haha!

Thanks Ian (Credit to James..he's super talented :) ) ..You can see the pics after that were mine..what a world of difference, lol.

Yer. Guess I'm the guinea pig AGAIN..lol. But reading from the posts recently I'd say it sounds pretty good. I would've gone to ASG, but I've heard enough about customer service to worry a bit..so why not give someone else a go... and Bryce has been really good to deal with over email too.

Pity he didn't have any brake kits available for stock wheels LOL.

Hi Patrick,

That mod list is growing :D
You need a center pipe like Adams K2 one, that will get rid of drone for sure.

K2 center pipe? ok i'll look into it..whats the diameter of that?

so that means..i'll have the 3" leading to whatever the k2 is, then back to 3" at the y-pipe to the muffs i assume..?

on that note, whats the difference between k2's centre pipes and those from local exhaust joints like mettams?

Nice car! Blacked out headlights look great on the diamond grey :)

K2 starts 3" which then splits almost right after the dump to 2x2.5" (might be a bit smaller). It then has two parallel resonators (stop all drone). These two pipes then continue all the way to the diff connection. I'm going to get something similar made up with a flexi joint after the dump. Should cost about $600 in mild steel.

Thanks Daniel :)

So that means I get have to get a full k2 system or just the centre y pipe?

The $600 in mild steel you're referring to would be from local fabricators and not k2 I take it?

Sorry about the noob questions but this whole exhaust thing gets confusing lol

Nice one Patrick! Looking very clean so far. Just on the topic of exhausts, When I had my ultrex system and phat DP done I was running the 4" single tip mufflers and it was actually a nice and reasonably comfortable volume even on my wagon. As soon as I went to the twin tips it was crazy loud (remember my twin tips are even bigger than yours at dual 3" a side!!!) I'm confident with a stock centre and just my mufflers it would be a nice volume but I really want the flow for my power mods. Might be something to consider if you arent chasing super big numbers, just put the stock centre back on and see how it goes?

I'm not sure about whether it's compatible with stock mufflers, but big $$$ for K2 stuff although it's easily one of the best! You'd want to speak to Phat about that.

Yeah $600 is what another member paid to have it made up in mild steel locally. I want the same as I love the sound of the STi mufflers but want the extra flow. Heard his with the stock mufflers and it sounds a little raspier than stock from the outside but still very quiet.
