Rev matching is the way to go. I used to do that, all my mates hated it though cos I couldn't (still can't) heel toe. I'm getting better though!

I don't even 2 foot an auto.... I will, one day. When I find it's necessary to improve my times. For now I'm at the cars limits not mine.

I rev match a lot too, the lib is the only car I can't heel toe in though... If you're fast enough and plan a second earlier it doesn't make too much difference though.

Just got the car back from the mechanics, they replaced nearly all of the bushes in the car and the right rear wheel bearing.

Feels a lot sharper turning into corners now, can feel the road a bit more in the steering wheel but nothing major

hadn’t realised how loud the wheel bearing had become, it’s so much quiet in the car now.

As many are, I'm not a big fan of the chrome all over the front grille

Vinyl wrap is cheap off ebay so I decided to give wrapping parts of it to make it look a bit better.

Before, the chrome wings have some small dents in them so need improving anyway

I was temped to leave it like this but wisely decided not too.

All done and back on the car.

I am terrible at doing this. Looks better from a distance just don't look too closely. Would of been nice to have help with the heat gun so i could pull and heat it at the same time but ahh well is on the car.

On another note, sometime soon getting some wrx 4/2 pots put on the car

Since the first cruse I went on and boiled the crap out of my fluid and had smoked up the brakes I’ve said I need a brake upgrade (nearly a year ago) and finally it happened.

Decided on some WRX 4/2 pots after not seeing any GT ones come up and got the K&T boys here in SA to sort them out for me. After weeks of shipping delays and then finding out the rear rotors where still back with the previous owner they got put on.

Ferodo ds2500 for pads
DBA steet series fronts slotted and stock wrx rda rear rotors
Taylor offered to paint them so I went orange for something a little different and the aqua decals break it up a little, now I just need some more orange around the car to match

Rather unnerving seeing the car without any wheels on

One of the fronts on

And for Karl,

If anyone in Adelaide needs any work done, see the K&T guys on the forums to sort you out, from what I saw they do some good work

So how do the new WRX brakes feel compared to your old ones?

And regarding your previous post re Brembo's:

static09 wrote:lol little bit excessive on the 2.5 i think

No it's not. I upgraded my 2.5i to Brembo's and they feel great. If you're a hard driver, and as I noted in another post, you're an admitted late-braker (which is good if you frequent the track a lot), then a good brake setup is never excessive.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...
