Hey guys,

So i just sold my sportivo and purchased an 05 liberty wagon as a new daily off the old man.. The only things done to it was a slight drop and some awful chromies. Sold the wheels and put the stockies back on. Also bought a front lip and a cf grill.









Also added 6000k xenons for the headlights and 3000k for the foggies. Normally it looks alot more amber than in that photo though.

Next thing on the list was wheels. I spent countless hours trying to looking for 2nd hand XD9's, eurolines and TE37's in a decent width and offset but because subaru decide to be special and have a 5x100 stud pattern there was nothing out there. So I decided to take the easy option and buy a set of rotas dpt's.

18x8.5 +44 all around with 5mm spacers at the rear to even it out with the front

Was checking the wheels the other day and realised all the paint chips on them. The coat on these wheels are so weak. So decided id eventually powdercoat them.

Unsure what colour yet but in the mean time i still wanted to fix the chips so thought i would repaint the wheels untill i get them coated. This was a good excuse to go a bit stupid as i wasnt going to run them in this colour for that long and decided to go green.

Began the painful process of sanding last night:







Then today after a wash and a bit of prepsol masked them up...









Then on came the primer and paint..











Let it dry overnight and see how it looks on the car tomorow

Well i haven't updated this in a while so thought id post what ive done.. Cash has been short so decided to keep to cheap diy mods..

Anyway firstly i wanted to clean up the rear end of the subi so i plugged the rear wiper, tinted the reverse lights/ 3rd brake light and blacked out the chrome strip above the rear license plate

Also made a new sticker for the back!!





Got a bit sick of the green wheels so decided to spray them white... It was going fine untill i applied the clear coat and for some reason it put a coat of this shitty creamy clear (cant tell in this photo though)...

Been getting sick of my wheels lately so started looking for a new set.. I was considering buying a set of wide rota te37 reps but theres way to many subis out there with these. Then these popped up. Originally thought they were original bbs' however after talking to the buyer he said there not but are definitely a quality wheel whatever they are (bbs stickers were made by him). All he new was they were pretty old (fully restored by him though) and were made in italy. Probably an impulse buy but considering not many nice looking wheels in decent width/offset pop in 5x100 and the fact that he just spent a shitload of money restoring them i purchased them.




Also its good as ive never seen another liberty the same model as mine running those. The specs are 18x8.5 +35 so itll poke out another 10mm then the wheels i am currently running. There still in SA getting them redrilled to 5x100.

well small update today... Swapped the tires from the old wheels onto the new set. Then did a test fit... Found a small but expected problem with the wheels. The lug nuts were to big so the centre cap wouldnt fit on. Problem solved:





Well got the tires fitted today so decided to see how they sit on the car.. Considering on maybe getting some 5mm spacers up front and 10mm rear but weill see. Wont run the wheels untill i get the gaurds rolled and all the parts come in.

Fitted the wheels. All the pictures i have for now:

Wasnt happy with the rear as i wanted a little more poke though so ended up buying some new 10mm bolt on spacers. So to install them i had to cut the studs so they were flush with the spacer face.




After i finished putting the spacers on went for a test drive and it just scrubbed the whole time to the point that it ripped my side panel of and snapped the mounting points..




So ended up getting new springs, shocks and larger bumpstops from a family friend which stiffened it up nicely. Only scrubs on major humps now

Got a nardi deep corn and works bell boss kit on the weekend.. Installed the boss kit and as i was tightening the middle nut the boss kit centre bit which is metal snapped all the way through... Guessing it was a faulty item cause it wasnt even tight when i was doing it up so ill be getting a replacement tomorrow... Ill put some pics up when its in
