I want to replace mine eventually. Lots of age cracks in the lense. But it's way down on my list.

So I noticed today coming home from work my A/C wasn't very cool. Intrigued I had a fiddle and look around. Noticed my engine temp pointing to the H. Not a bit high, not on the top mark. Pointing to the H. So I cut the engine and rolled into a carpark. I found a split coolant hose but couldn't quite see it properly to tell how bad the split was, so I let it cool down and topped it up with water. I assessed for any water leaks with it just sitting, none noticed, so I figured I'd risk it and drive home. Less than 200m down the road it was getting hot again (I let it cool for about 15-20 mins, enough to drop a bit on the gauge) So I pulled over and checked it out. Seemed to look easy enough, so I grabbed my $5 spanner set, my interchangeable screwdriver and my shifter out the boot (I learnt I should put pliers in there too now) and got to it. In 5 minutes the intercooler was off and the hose was doubled over on itself. The hose that had split was the throttle body and IACV coolant hose, I doubled it over on itself to bypass the throttle body and IACV. I put the cooler back on, pulled off my overflow and tipped what water remained into the radiator, but it wasn't enough so I waited about 20mins for a mate to rock up with 6x 1.5l bottles of water, champion! It got me home and the temp gauge didn't get past halfway (normal). I wasn't confident in the soft, squishy cooler hose that had just split so I've just finished pulling the cooler off again and replacing the coolant hose and clamps with brand newies

It should get me by for now. Hopefully putting a bid in on a WRX next week (I've given up on waiting for an STi to come up, people don't write them off enough)

Ok, I've booked some Annual Leave to do my single turbo, engine and manual conversions.

Oh, and I bought a donor car with 50 million spares, sorted through and discarded what I knew I wouldn't need. Also today I grabbed some coilovers which will go in at the same time. D2 Racing coilovers, got them for a steal, but they have no damper adjustment.

I didn't get any pics of the WRX, it was rusty, dirty, faded and in pieces. I'll ensure pics of the conversion get taken and uploaded after completion!

Oh and Ive grabbed a B4 blackout instrument cluster, but probably won't be installed until later in the year, I'm thinking I will get a B4 dash loom to simplify this.

Set my coilover heights tonight. Still need energy to install them and adjust height accordingly. Hopefully they will be close when I throw them in.

Cheap restoration kit from bursons. It was $40, can't remember the name.

I came home from my holiday a day early, so the wagon got some love today

Coilover install and rear camber bolts. Definitely needs a wheel alignment to set it up, but so far I have found it drastically improved my understeer and has stopped my random oversteer moments. Worn Bilsteins will do that..... lol

I still need to tweak the heights, and I am trying to source a damper adjusting tool for it to set the dampers, as online searching informs me it does have damper adjustment (previous owner said they didn't)
