Wahhh? im confused Brad, what do you mean by that?

Oh and nice car too :)

Simon,

My apologies for not seeing this one earlier.

HMAS Sydney sank the German raider Kormoran in 1941 shortly before she herself sank from the mortal damage inflicted on her by Kormoran. About 320 survived from Kormoran but all on board Sydney (about 650) perished: it was, and still is, Australia's greatest maritime disaster and the largest single loss with all hands during WWII.

cheers,

bj

Seems I need to do a bit of research.
I chose the alias from a fictional book which portrayed the Kormoran as a secret nuclear vessel disguised as a container ship. Oops..

Thanks!
The GROM only has 2 outputs, so I removed the AUX and replaced it with bluetooth. When I had AUX though, I ran it through the glovebox so that the passenger could comfortably control the music.

I actually looked at buying this car, and what I saw from the install of the system is that it came out through the center console, presumably from the aux port at the back of the HU? The audio quality was great and Matt showed me how seamless it integrated from Bluetooth connection back to radio, I would actually like one for my car.

Props for the neat install too, btw Matt :D

Now Im confused too...

But I think the answer to what you're asking is;
Im using the GROM IPD-3 unit. It uses the CD stacker plug on the back of the HU :)
Its quite a cool little gadget, you can use the hu to cycle through playlists/songs (Ipod) and answer calls/change songs via bluetooth aswell as auto-connect when you turn the car on :D

And Kody, the GROM does all the work. No AUX on my model :(

Ohh okay, I see now. So it uses the CD stacker plug on the HU and the lead in the glovebox was the connection if you want to charge the device instead of running wirelessly through bluetooth?

Lead into center glovebox is the IPOD play & charge cable :) Then the bluetooth & GROM itself are hidden nicely behind the HU. Well worth it if you ask me, only downside Ive found is the bluetooth lacks voice-cancelling (Just means that people hear themselves in the background, not a big deal haha)

They have a few options, USB etc. Well worth it if you ask me, that is if you have no intention of going down the fascia route?

Interesting - when challenged by HMAS Sydney, Kormoran was disguised as the Dutch merchant vessel Straat Malakka which then encouraged Sydney to get so close that she got caught out.

Sorry to partly hijack your thread.
