I agree on the low, not sold on the lip. The problem with either is it just gives me an opportunity to scrape on something and get upset about scraping my car :( LOL

It's ok, I've scraped mine over 100 times already, you just get used to it, they really cop a beating! Mine has no visible marks, I even struggle to feel the scrapes when I run my finger under the lip. Do it!

think of it this way, you'd rather scrape your lip than your bumper :D

Minor update, no additional mods happening, but have borrowed Taylor's Tactrix cable (thanks man!) and have been working with Matt on a few revisions to tidy a few bits up.

Tracked the car for the first time on Monday at the K&T Automotive Track Day out at Mallala and it was insane amounts of fun. Had a minor off at the hairpin and unfortunately messed up one of my rims (paint chips), so looking at getting that fixed. Other than that, no damage, but we did discovered that I apparently have quite badly warped rotors. So the todo list for now is:

- Rotors machined
- New Tyres (no idea what? Mainly for regular road use, but I WILL be going out on the track again. It's been suggested I just pick up a set of 17" rims with R Compounds for track days, I'm not sure I'm ready to be that committed yet though, and I still need new regular tyres anyway)
- Possibly new brake pads? (haven't checked, but I'm guessing between me and Karl we chewed up a fair chunk of them)
- Repair rim
- LCA Bushes need doing by next service.

I recommend getting all 4 rotors machined or replaced Ben. I recently had the fronts machined with S&J with new MRT pads (dont get these pads, dusty as hell) and there was a full on brake shudder worse than before. Sean said to me that the reason for this is due to some brake alignment issue, and that the rear brakes also needed to be machined. He did this and a lot of the shudder went away.

Yup, Karl has already said do all four. He's recommended a mate who can get them done for me. Just gotta get around to giving the guy a call and figure out a time he can do it.

Pads may not actually need doing yet. Pedal felt VERY squishy on the way home from the track, but I've started getting pedal feeling back over the last 2 days.

Squishy? I reckon braided lines will help that next time. I had them on my AU falcon and it made a huge difference in brake feel when pushed. When stock lines get hot they bulge a bit losing a bit of pressure, possibly providing that squishy feeling you speak of.

Ben! Finally had the chance to look through your build thread, I like!!!!! And I might be biased, but I think the grey sedans look awesome, and I'm sure Shav will agree :D

Diamond Grey is an awesome looking colour!!! Almost never looks clean though :(

Few things I've gotta get sorted out, still need new tyres, brakes still need doing, left rear rim is still trashed and needs fixing up ($300 :(), and I have a hole in the rear bumper from a car park incident (got backed into by a ute with a tow bar - it's actually kind of a bonus because it means it just punched a hole in the rear bar and there wasn't any other damage) that still needs to be fixed, and I've only got 3,000km to go to next service (which will also need LCA bushes done)

Hoping I can free up some $$ soon to spend money on the car and get it back to 100%, trying to sell the house (and re-buy elsewhere) and get married and stuff at the moment though :S All these real-world, grown up priorities *grumble*

Agree with you on the clean bit..just give it a week (even with no rain)...the layer of dust is crazy. and give it a few drips of rain ... as we always get in perth...for like 2 seconds.. :angry2:

aww mannnnn i hate car parks...feel for you mate...i park next to an STI WRX at work these days...coz I don't trust the rest of the irresponsible people!!

hope it all gets sorted soon... ( and yes...grown up priorities do come up and we have to deal with them...lol)

Looking Nice! +1 on the lip I scrap mine a bit and looks fine. I painted mine and still it flexs, bends and looks mint.

Diamond grey hides a huge amount compared to black :)
