I've also had thoughts of PlastiDipping my rims black......thoughts or suggestions?

Get some 15mm spacers and run 205's ;)
I wouldn't paint them, they look good as is. Maybe dip the wing mirrors & rear diffuser section. Boss.

Haha I know, it's never ending :P I have a set of Goodridge brake lines ready to fit, but also need to replace tyres and brake pads, I want to treat myself with KiDo front and rear strut braces but not sure if I'll have the spare moolah
Eventually I want to replace my 4" tips with quads, or do a custom job like yours.

I've actually thought about spacers, but is that the sort which requires wheel studs to be cut? As good as it would look, I don't want to be cutting studs.
205's isn't really my thing either :P My next set of tyres will be 225/45/18 which will correct the speedo, lower revs while cruising and hopefully that extra profile will be a bit more comfortable.
Dipping the rear diffuser section is on the cards, but I think I like having my mirrors silver. Or I've seen carbon fibre replacement covers for them

I've been considering this mod...but what colour? If you did it black, it looks like the covers are missing...?

I did mine black and it doesn't look like my car is missing a tooth.

Upsized my KU31s from 225/40/18 to 225/45/18. Looks chunky as compared to my old bald ones, but I like how they fill up the whole wheel arch, and is also more comfortable with the higher sidewall.
At 100km/h, the old tyre size was about 10km/h off gps speed.. with the new size it's now 4-5 km/h off.

Best way to get your speedo more accurate is go up one tyre size. :good:

Yep 225/45 is larger than stock and I was hoping it would be enough to make the speedo accurate but unfortunately it isn't. I don't think I can go any bigger with these stock wheels without making it look like a monster truck

"More" accurate but still a tad under dead on is best anyway.

I've just clocked up another 2500kms in the past week, going from Canberra to Sydney to Wollongong to Sydney to Wollongong to Sydney to Port Macquarie to Brissy and finally to Bundaberg. The latest adventures of my Lib include hauling a full Forester interior + BBQ up to Bundaberg --> PICS HERE in the wagon VS sedan thread

Installed the Genuine Subaru AUX input which goes into the centre console, and it works a treat. No more radio static from dodgy FM transmitters.

Also did a Subwoofer upgrade to Vibe BlackAir Vented V12 Active Sub and Enclosure 1600w --> full details on Vibe's website here.

I'm no expert on audio hardware so can't really make a review on it; I've tried Pioneer and Fusion 12" subs in the past but all I can say is that this Vibe is far better than the other two in terms of punch, deep bass and build quality. I cannot be more happy with the Vibe unit.

Also very nicely tucks underneath the cargo cover :)

Hi Matt, Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. Yeah I really should have, I recall Coffs Harbour raining pretty hard when I drove through so I just kept on going at the time. Maybe if you're free in mid Feb when I'm heading back down the coast we can catch up :)
Dad's Foz is going well, strong as ever. There's a bit of a debate who's goes faster and/or quicker, or at least feels it  the power delivery between the two (especially between auto and manual) is completely different. I still think mine goes harder :D

So xmas holidays means time to play with the car :)

I've done a bit here and there - installed white LED Strip footwell lighting. No photo's yet.

Roadkill sound insulation on the inside of the boot because the new subwoofer was making it vibrate like crazy. Very happy with the result, it stopped 80% of vibrations and sounds much bassier in the cabin. The only vibration now is from the rear spoiler

Finally, today I made number plate lifting brackets :D looks so much better. Next is to paint that pillar in the lower air dam.
