+1! Big improvement over stock, makes the back end 'flow' a lot better :)
Always disliked how they cut off so sharply compared to the gen4.

Thanks Ian and dubbwah

And totally agree with you on the sharp cutoff Ian... roof spoiler helps improve the 'visual flow'.

DAMD spoiler would have looked a bit more edgier, but thought the funds could be better spent elsewhere (and I picked up this roof spoiler at a bargain)

Seems I am going to have to get my act together and get looking for a wing... Looks so much better! Great improvement.

What ball park figure did you spend all up for the wing? Did you fit it yourself and was it easy to do if you did?

I'm a bit biased when it comes to gen 5's but the wing looks great. Shame it's not an inch lower.

Thanks and all good for me on the ride height.... It was a trade off between going more low vs avoiding the PITA factor with the front STI lip and steep driveways/ramps!

Understandable. Anyway, car is looking good!

As you said, ties the back end together nicely and makes the car seem less aggressively angular as a whole.
Top shelf Simon. Car's looking great! :good:

Thanks pips and Corsair - I think I'm done for purely cosmetic mods now.... I've gotten it to a point where I'm lovin the look from end to end (and less "angular aggression", in Corsair speak!), and think any more cosmetic adds will make it too crowded/messy.

Pips - have you painted your wheels yet, or are they still black? (I'm in the black camp btw). would be good to see your car in the flesh sometime, as well as taking a few 'sibling' shots

Still black. I'm planning to get them painted in the next few months as the wife has become acquainted with the gutter a couple of times but the plan is to keep them black. I might go with something matte this time.

Im also looking at getting some brembo's in the near future.

I recommend magman at punchbowl.... been doing it for 10+ years, and thats all he specialises in (wheel repair and painting)

His workshop doesnt look like much, but his work is top notch

cost me $130 per rim for repair and paint

Agree mark, seems like a silly (but prolly profit driven) move dropping the bigger rear wing it going from gen4 to Gen5

Brembos = quasi cosmetic/performance, hawk pads = performance!

Have you ordered the decals yet? If you haven't ordered yet, can we go with the blue brembo decals?

I have ordered and got the decals in black, but will use them elsewhere if you really want blue. No problems. Your brakes your choice.
