6 months after purchase - STi Lip spoiler and STi strut brace installed

Love the look of the black front lip - it rounds off the front nicely

18 months after purchase - suspension and handling upgrades, STi springs and Phats LCA bushes. Gave a 15mm drop in ride height, and could go lower, but I was happy with this for the moment.

Purchased a set of MY06/07 tbSTI Enkei Rims - a bit of gutter rash, so got them fixed up and repainted by Magman@Punchbowl. Colour code Subaru 36Y Onyx Metallic (thanks to mark/cruisn for his threads and advice)

Will post updated pics with new rims soon.....

Interested to see how these rims come up on the Gen V, particularly with your new ride height.
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

That grill sure does make the front of the gen v a lot better looking ( if that is possible for a gen v )

New wheels painted, balanced and fitted - I'm taking a little while to adjust to the new look, as this is my first time with dark coloured wheels.

Wish I had some better photos, but since sydney weather is a tad wet, I had to made do with an underground car park.

I found the flourescent lighting gave the wheels a tinge/hint of blue, so can't wait to see how they will look on a bright sunny day (I suspect it will look more towards dark gunmetal). Will take some more photos and post em up

Oh, and black mcgard nuts are on the way, as I'm not a fan of the "silver nuts and dark wheel look"

One things for sure, I'm back into 'research' mode again - as I need to get some slotted/drilled rotors behind the enkeis, plus, add a bit of 'bigger' (hint - calipers) and more distinct colours behind the wheels (black or silver, prolly silver)

<cue the comments> - "you need some brembos"

Those rims fit in pretty well with the gen5, nice one.

Nobody "needs" brembos :)

I wouldn't buy drilled rotors (although it's not my money).

Thank rooby, and i hear you loud and clear.... There's a clear diff between WANT vs NEED

Slotted then?

Any recommended rotors to consider on shortlist?

Dixcel from Phat ;)

Car looks great but to be perfectly honest I actually prefer the silver enkeis on a silver car...

no probs - I always wanted to try a 'blacked-out'/dark wheel look

The good thing is that the enkeis themselves are awesome lightweight rims, so I can redo them again (magman of course!) if I wanted a change of scenery

I do love the rim/spoke design of these enkeis, so its a set i'll be keeping for the long term (whatever the colour may be!)

Looks hot! The Gen5 wagons IMO need a larger rear wing to balance them out....

Slotted rotors with body colored Brembo's....... Nice. :D

thanks mark - great minds think alike!

I've actually got a rear spoiler sitting in the garage waiting to be installed (I purchased it of youngy for a great price)... getting these wheels ready took up most of my attention

Oh, I know I have mentioned this before, but thanks for your threads and research on the rim colour (i looked at your pics, and just said.... YEP thats it)

They did come out a bit 'bluer' than I was expecting (but that was looking a them on rainy overcast day)

took advantage of a great morning, and snapped some early pics just as sun was starting to come up

found a nice spot that luckily didnt have too many trucks parked, the downside was the relatively dirtier road to get there (which eventually find its way onto the treads, and annoying if you want to take photos)
