X-Force stainless steel mid + y pipe now fitted :)

Still waiting for it to carbon up so can't comment definitively on overall volume levels (particularly inside the car) but so far, very happy with it! Sounds sweet with the TCP quads  Shout out to Chris at Best Mufflers for getting this whacked in after a failed attempt installing it at the barn  also thanks to Dawsey and Matt for trying to help in fitting it.

What was your issue with installing it yourself?

We couldn't get the mid bolted up to the flange near the 3rd cat - was about half an inch short.

One flange was the wrong size wasn't the gap that was the issue . I'll have a look and see if it's the same mid pipe as before

Sounds nice Alex!

I wonder how long (on avg) does carboning up take? Be interested to know how much difference it will make... my missus noticed the increased noise straight away (followed by a "What did you do to the car?")

 there's only so much you can get away with Simon! Not too sure, probably a couple of weeks of solid driving, so for me probably 2 months given how little the car gets driven :P

Yeah, more of a clicking sound.

The only pinging you can hear, Daniel, is your own poo cart!

No pinging from my car... !! Doesn't get driven much till motor is fixed.!!

The noise does have more a clacking sound. I first thought it was a CV actually !!!

Who says I'm finished with mods?

JDM ABS and battery covers  also dusty engine bay is dusty, needs a good wipe down. Don't ask how I got the ABS cover's rear clip on with the Cusco master stopper in the way :angry2:
