Thanks Simon

Bought the car with the grille already installed, the first owner optioned it from the factory.

Will be keen to see your outback bonnet!

Looking good. :D Interested to hear how much of a difference the Dixcel rotors make also.
+ 1 on the Outback bonnet. Still waiting Simon...
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Thanks mate :D I have a feeling the pads will make more of a difference, but seeing as I'm getting it done altogether, I won't be able to say to what extent.

I'll say zero for intended use. Pads are where its at for difference.

Thanks mate! Incidentally scraped it getting out of the driveway after I installed it :alcoholic:

That's what I was thinking too Mark, I figured I'd rather upgrade both than machine the old rotors (no idea how much meat is left on em)

UPDATE

Finally got my car's brakes installed at Garage 88, got a heap of stuff done there too, big thanks to Mick, car drives beautifully now!

Got my slotted SD Dixcel rotors and Type M pads installed at the front with Goodridge braided lines all round. Haven't done any ludicrous braking so far on the way home but super impressed with the feel and response

Also, turns out also my transmission mount was f*cked (literally in two pieces) so Mick threw in an STi mount and replaced the leaking gearbox seals so no more pissing out transmission oil!

Didn't realise how much my tranny was pitching about before - shifting feels so much more precise, particularly on WOT, so all smiles there too :D

Pics of Dixcel goodness:

It's just soooo much smoother! No more jerky shifts or hearing the tranny bang when I take off at the lights. It's also seemed to solve this mystery rattling I'd get over some more harsh bumps so I'm stoked.

Oh, and new VCD was installed too. No more clunky binding!
