OH SNAP (pun not intended)!!! Having problems at the drags like a Baws.

What's the MPH on your runs?

Great first time results for a manual and 6 speed! Pretty badass finish too :bb:

Yeah I wasn't a happy Chappy after that....but that's what happens with torque & 6k launches

116mph

Axle or tailshaft?

It was axle...if I had DCCD then I could of locked the centre diff & drove it home...but it was like driving a badly worn clutch..

So i towed it to MSR's @ 1am...waking him from his beauty sleep...

Yea. Would guess he's referring to the shafts not being as strong as the full r180 shafts found in WRX STI's. Lib ones obviously are a mashup with one end being for a r180 diff and the other being r160 spec, hence weaker than the STI ones

Jackson decent times and mph but I'm sure its got more in it.

88mph half track is strong.

Shame about the driveshaft. Wish you had thought to call me I would've come past I'm 15-20mins away and wouldve helped you fit replacement inner cv to get you going.

Shafts are same with r160 hub ends so dunno about them being that much weaker

Yeah that's correct..the GRB shafts are thicker than ours as well...

Well done on a solid 12sec quarter.

I have 1st hand experience when it comes to the dreaded inner CV explosion ......

There is not much to do other then go a full R180 rear end and hub conversion from an sti.

Or custom billet shafts etc etc. But I was quoted some $1200-1500 per shaft. Then the stress on the diffs goes up, so KAAZ diffs etc are required.

The CV is the weak link for a reason. Strengthen it at your own peril i was told.

Or just have the wallet open and the pants down around your ankles and hope that there is lots of lube and it doesn't hurt THAT much. LOL
Not a Subaru...... Something MUCH better

NOPE..... That's shit too. Bus anyone??

I wonder if a Dccd box and eg Dccd pro could even out the load, eg with the right programming etc...

What brand 3inch turbo inlet has this got? Couldn't see a 3inch Tomioka one on their site so guess you got rid of that one?

Little update

I got the liberty a wheel alignment the other day....very happy with the results....I fitted some whiteline rear lateral adjustable arms...and they were out a bit after I fitted them..haha

Anyways car feels great, we added a 2 degrees of camber on the front wheels...plus mucked around with dampening...

While we were at it we out the car in the corner weight scales....pete was very surprised with the overall specs

Cross weight - 50.05% - 50% cross weight is what most setups will try to aim for...
Left to Right - 50.02%
Front - 57.47% pretty normal for a subaru
Rear - 42.53%

Total weight - 1535kg with approx 30kg of fuel
