Hey guys,

I sold my 2005 Club Spec Evo 8 WRX in December last year, and jumped into an 08 STI Liberty in January - very happy with the decision.

Bought stock, so far the mods list is brief, but it has made all the difference in the world compared to stock.

[*]20% Window Tints
[*]Tein S-Tech Springs
[*]20mm Adjustable Whiteline Swaybar
[*]DBA 4000 T3 Front Rotors
[*]QFM HPX Brake Pads
[*]Bridgestone RE002 Tyres
[*]Subaru Aux Cable
[*]Black Slimline Number Plates
[*]3" XForce Turbo Back Exhaust mated to the stock STI quad mufflers
[*]Custom Tune by Michael South (MSR)

Whilst I don't plan on modding the hell out of this car, I'm sure the list will grow a bit more as time goes on, so feel free to watch this thread ;)

Shot of my car and dyno sheet below.

Comments welcome.

Hey Luke

They're great Output results with an exhaust and tune.

Long drive from Canberra to MSR on the central coast (good choice though:D)

Any plans for any further mods?

Cheers

Pete

Hey Pete,

Thanks - I'm over the moon with the result.
I've been to MSR before when I owned my WRX, so yeah, it is a big trip, but it's totally worth it - Michael knows his stuff, and has proved it on both occasions.

He actually mentioned that he did an auto STI wagon not long ago, maybe it was yours?

Right now, no further plans for mods at all - just going to leave the car as is for the time being
I've done a little bit over the last couple of months, so I might now take the time to enjoy them :)

Cheers,
Luke.

Unfornately mine isn't an STI version :(

Mick only tuned my GT about 4 weeks ago.

My dyno results here: http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=16220

Hopefully i'll be back later in the year with a bigger turbo, few other bits and a retune.

Mick is Tops!

I've got some Project MU Type NS pads going in on Wednesday - looking incredibly forward to getting rid of the OEM pads which are insanely dusty.
A week of driving, and it looks like I have charcoal Enkei's.

I've been pondering on the thought for "what's next" for my car...

I'm happy with performance for the time being, so perhaps something cosmetic?

Anyone want to throw some ideas at me? :)

You can swap boot lids with me and have an awesome spoiler instead of the lip :D

You could do side skirts or rear diffuser or different grille (I don't think there is anything wrong with your current gille though). Lighting upgrades from Leo. Slimline/different Colour number plates with raised front plate.
Coilovers if your cosmetics include a very specific ride height.

Or if you wanted to go all out out could do full body kit.

Just noticed your number plate in your signature.
Is at pic from the skid pan out near the airport? I haven't been there since I've had my lib but I wouldn't mind taking it ou there.

Yep sure is. Fifth Gear Motoring is who I booked through.
I thoroughly recommend it - such a fun day.

Side skirts and rear diffuser could look good - I don't want the car to look too bulky or try hardish but.
Trying to keep that slick, clean look.

Already have slimline number plates also, in black.

Not too interested in coilovers at the moment, as the S-Tech's have proved themselves quite well.

Will keep the thinking cap on for the remainder of this long weekend!

You don't happen to work for channel 9 do you?

There was a Luke Miller doing the snow report.

Sorry, I don't get on here much.
Nah, not me Reuben.

Have some DBA 4000 T3 rotors being installed on Thursday, along with a set of QFM HPX pads.
Have been using Project MU Type NS since May last year, and I'm not a fan... Very dusty.

Bridgestone RE002's fitted all round yesterday.
Fantastic tyre. So quiet and smooth, and lots of grip.
