Sure is.

Perfect car. 2j hotness, reasonably light, hooks up and fucking goes hard, bulletproof drivetrain, highway economy, 500hp with ease all day every day with watered down 7-11 fuel.

Im looking at more 2j and 1uz hotness at the moment. Not sure what I want but it'll be something and it'll be this month.

Im meeting up with the owner on the weekend to give him some more parts that he needs. Think its all slow progress, he isnt in a rush and likes a project I reckon.

Hoping he puts it all through an auto like the surf setup and nissan ute diffs etc.

Yeah that's what I'm confused about though

I couldn't figure whether the v12 alone was sold or both the car and the v12 have a new home

Kiks is posting details about the 2j so either he still owns it (hopefully) or a mate of his stole bought it off him

Both the car and the V12 were sold from what I have gathered.

The Gen3 ended up going with the 2jz and the 1gz is in the fj40

Thats what i've gathered from reading :)

Spot on.

I sold the car with the 9" IRS rear/subframe, interior, good body etc. No box or engine or loom. (but with a rare as fuck BE 300kmh STI speedo :angry2: ) to one of Al (JZK25, co-owner of AM Auto in Sunshine coast, responsible for the project and hundreds of other awesome conversions and subaru mild to wild).

Engine, loom and bolt on's sold to a a bloke for his project landcruiser stupidity. He has the manifolds, unsure if he'll turbo it or not.

Turbos sold to another bloke for his 1uz project. Does epic skids.

I walked away with the vipec itself and a fair few random parts I've hoarded. Next week I'm hopefully picking up a mint HQ Kingswood styleside ute with a 1UZ, twin plate, supra 5 sp, ford disk brake 9", some unknown computer, and restored interior/exterior (6rs ago) cheap. Plan is to add GT3071's, A340 Auto, Vipec V88 and ethanol sensor, fancy looking intake manifold. Convo pro's and give the thing a moderate workover (fuel, brake lines, suspension, bushes, trim, seals etc) to make it a nice cruiser weekend car. Whole point is to replace this V12 I figure as I'm a muppet for cracking the shits and selling shit.

Unknown what I want as a daily now. RS lib, Gen 4 3.0 wagon again, C class merc with a 2J a mate has, keep the SWB GQ patrol, who knows. Something will pop up when I least expect it, but for now I'm happily looking forward to ute being rust free and starting a love affair with dinky old holden.

And growing a mullet.

To update thread though. RIP liberty. Stupidest thing I ever did was get drunk and hate it.

V12 being fitted to a shorty 40. By crazy mate of mine with up to date life insurance.

BE chassis the V12 was in has all the goods still, running VVTI 2JZ and GT3788R. Is a fucking weapon.

Somehow I ended up with a ute, and added hairdryer.

Edit: 2j in lib.
