I'd be checking all ventilation plumbing, heads and crank case.

Hey guys a bit of an update
its been 12 months since my engine went on me
its been running just like it used to but since it happened i have felt differently about the car and my outlook on what i want to spend on it
I pretty much wasted 5k on the engine replacement which was gonna be my brake upgrade and coilovers
Ive decided that Im gonna part ways with it soon Ive been thinking about what I want to get instead and decided it will be a stock turbo vehicle
im looking at wrxs and Evos
Im not sure which I prefer yet but Im leaning towards the Evo 7 Lancer the wrxs are good but I much prefer the Evo seats Ive been around subarus now for over 7 years
I think I need a brand change and a fresh learning experience in terms of modifying cars
not sure when im going to sell the car but i need a bit of cash saved so i can sell the lib and jump straight into an Evo
might be hopefully by the end of the year.

So a lot of things have happened in my life lately and selling my car hasnt been one of them.
Ive decided to keep the car but Im going to build a sound system in the car
Current plans are custom front door fitout to house 2 sets of component speakers
New 6" midbass drivers in the rear doors
12" subwoofer in boot with the 2 amps in there aswell custom installed
Double din headunit to replace stock system
specific details on what gear im using is so far undecided as im still researching that part of it
will keep this updated ill probably make a seperate build thread aswell since i cant find one on here
ill be doing as much of the install as I can so i should be able to document the entire build

wow its been 18 months since i last visited this forum
alot of things have changed and also not changed like i still have my lib i didnt buy a wrx or evo
i am however building a new house so all plans are thrown in the bin
but the good thing about forums is i can read back on all my thoughts and ideas and hopefully revisit these ideas and make them real !!
One day......

I have however started my own business in Furniture Upholstery but have also been playing around with a small project car lately which i redone the interior on and quite enjoyed doing it
toying with the idea of expanding into car upholstery also.
Although i have no training in the field i expect not much in the way of work coming my way
But i can cut fabric i can sew fabric and i can make custom patterns so i guess i have the skills to do the job just not the formal training.
I will have to start with locals who I know to get the word out I think
If you are keen and you are in SA look me up on facebook "Daniel Forst : Upholsterer"
Im also on Instagram "DanTheUpholsterer" i posted pics of the car seats ive been doing on there
Also have been uploading furniture upholstery videos on youtube "Dantheupholsterer"
