Any chance you've got a reference saved Hamish? I've been trying to find information about legally changing tyre sizes. Can't find a single thing about width. All I can find is that the overall diameter can't increase by more than 15mm and the track of the car can only increase by 25mm. Wouldn't mind going to 245/40/18 tyres next...

Very keen to see the wheels fitted properly, should look great. :D

Tyres and wheels are on the car now
Very happy with them will post pics for everyone after the next SA cruise which is on the 12th
Initial thoughts on my tyre choice since I've only driven on them once thus far....
Nitto Neogens are very quiet on the road
Very grippy compared with my old tyres but I haven't really driven hard yet and probably won't give em a run until I upgrade my brakes ( need new pads )

Can anyone tell me specifically.... Ok wait first of all obviously not all brake pads are the same as in some will fit in brembos but ones that fit in brembos won't fit in the gt calipers and then ones that fit in gt calipers won't fit in my stock 2.5i calipers
First of all am I correct in what I'm saying?
If I am then what size brake pads should I be looking at there are so many but I'm unsure what I should be looking at they all look the same..... Can someone shed some light on this subject

I don't want to order some new brake pads to find I got the wrong ones

Cheers in advance for everyone's input !

I have used them on my previous car but haven't tried them on the lib.
I thought they were really good. Great stopping performance.
Didn't have any problems with noise and as far as I remember no dust issues either.

Good pad but there are better out there.

Remsa HPT's go great in the stock calipers.
Project mu type NS. They make a little noise on the cold mornings but probs won't make a pad for the stock calipers.
No dust and epic stopping power.

Personally I would save up and get gt/3.0 calipers and rotors before spending $$$ on braking performance.
The stock 2.5I brakes are a very small system and will suffer from brake fade from the small rotor not being able to disperse heat.

Theres a lot of better pads out there, it just comes down to what your realistic requirements are for stopping.

Realistic stopping expectations are I don't want to have my foot shuddering under hard braking which is what is happening now I need decent brake pads to last until I can save up for the brake upgrade. This isn't my brake upgrade Taylor I just need some new ones that are decent and won't suffer brake fade too much. ATM 5-10 mins of hard driving and my brakes are too hot and brake fade occurs
