Thanks Jeff. Definitely going to respray, but will probably keep the logos as they are inset into the spats.

Made a first attempt at a GoPro video the other week... Added to the profile for the sake of continuity.

That's great! Interesting location and use of camera supports.
The heli footage is nuts but could do with a gentler hand on the controls or some stabilization in post.

I have a camera and suction mount if you need to borrow extras for round 2 ;)

In the first scene I was half expecting that you were going to do a J-Turn. :)

The pilot needs to try and keep the camera a bit flatter. And you need to do it at a time of the day when the sun isn't so intense.

Other than that, it looks great!

I reckon you should go buy yourself some traffic cones from Bunnings, lay them out on a safe empty stretch of back road and do a slalom course with a handbrake turn at the end and then come back - that'd look good on camera.

Thanks Ben. Yeah, both I and the helicopter pilot would concur. We had FPV goggles, but didn't use 'em and it was a bit windy too. Next time will use both goggles and a gimble for extra stabilisation.

 Maybe next time for the J-Turn.
The sun was certainly an issue. We went out too late in the day and were battling against the setting sun to try and get (relatively) consistent footage. Consequently, we couldn't do as many set-ups as I wished and had to rush what we did do. Still, we got to test the 'copter, the camera and my rudimentary plate covers, so it's a good basis for a better planned run next time.

:D Thank you. It's an old mental hospital I found while doing a lil' urbex.

Ha ha. I agree. Unfortunately however, it appears photobucket have suddenly decided to hold 6 years worth of my uploaded photos to ransom, so not sure how to post new ones up. Or get the old ones back for that matter. :(

Suggestions very welcome.

Photobucket isn't letting you download your own images from your account? At all?

Time to switch to another mob such as imgur, or if you have NBN at home, maybe setup your own server to provide your own free unlimited webspace!

Hi Jeff. Good to hear from you. Apologies for the belated reply. Work / Life has been rather hectic of late.

I may look into another host for future shots, but as I can't remember the password to the original Photobucket account, it seems all my previous photos are lost to the sands of time at present. The worst thing is, just before Photobucket elected to F all their users in the A, I was going to copy all my mod write up and save it to a word document and didn't. Shows you shouldn't procrastinate eh? :resent:
