Something like Castrol LMM or Penrite Molygrease.

Cheers for that Rooby. Good to know some brand names for when I go looking for grease. Otherwise I may have to resort to this...

<UPDATE>:
Dropped by Pedders again today and asked after my stock stuff. They hadn't thrown them out yet thankfully and I will collect them later in the week. :D

I am also about to order the following tail light tint...

Image

But in a lighter shade - such as in the picture below - as I am vaguely concerned about insurance.

Image

And finally, I got rid of my old slimline plate surround at the rear and upgraded to the following. Represent yo!

I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Cheers.
I am getting them from a guy I found on the Legacy GT forum. He does also offer them for the pre-facelift models and if anything they look better.

Here's a link for the pre-face options:
http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.p ... l?t=112198

And here's a link for the post-face options:

I have emailed the guy and they are $52 + $6 shipping to Melbourne (USD). Payment is via paypal. I am probably going to order my set in about ten minutes.

See - not even Pedders used the Whiteline-supplied grease (which is usually greyer than normal grease). They used a different grease. :) Good to see they were liberal with the application too.

I just re-greased my own rear swaybar yesterday - trialling a marine-grade grease this time to see how it fares against the rain over an extended period.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

I only say it as IMO, it will tie in so nicely with the black wheels and mesh in the Corazon grill.

I'm pretty sure there's a prawn walking across your driveway.

Yeah, I asked about it before they did it, so perhaps they were extra liberal? :D Seriously though, Pedders were great.

Sounds good! If it works well, please share the brand name.

cruisn wrote:Needs..... lip..... bad.....:P

Yep. I'm two minds. I still have the lip from X-ssive [or however it's spelt] under my couch. I went to take a look under my front bar and found that the previous owner scratched the &%$# out of it and each of the main 3 clips are cracked all the way through. Perhaps the previous owner had a front lip that ripped off?

It would definitely unite the black on the car (and that was why I bought it), but 'til I sort out the front clips/bar I don't think I can attach it. Any advice on this would be appreciated though...plastic welds?

Thanks man. Seeing your car helped finally make up my mind on tail light tint and now I am also looking for monsoon guards!

:air_kiss: Thank you. That's nice to hear. Part of me wonders whether to keep it this way to stay more subtle and factory looking...Hmmm.

Oh yeah, tint arrived in the mail.

Although after seeing dmh87's car, I wish I had gone for the full tint rather than the cut outs.
The extra pieces above are for US car's to put over their reflectors. Alternatively they could be put over the side mirror indicators perhaps?

Will do.

Corsair wrote:though...plastic welds?

You can put another clip in without having to plastic weld that split - in this case the original clip simply got scraped away when the front bar must have hit an almighty deep dip or driveway, but unless your front bar is feeling really loose, don't worry about it. The other clips are doing a fine job.

Test by pulling another clip out and press it into the split hole - see how well it sits. If it's good, get some spares from Subaru or a wreckers.

So, I finally got around to tinting my rear lights. I decided not to use the original tints I purchased from the U.S. and went with non-cut outs after seeing Huy's car on the last cruise and also to keep my whole black on white theme consistent.
