Are your headers wrapped or ceramic coated ?

Ceramic coated and a little bit of wrap.

Todays project was increasing the resistance to heat penetrating & hence efficiency of my intake path heat exchanger.

Also ordered my silicone tubing, clamps and ali tubing for new intake path after turbo. 8)

Final laminated construction is:

Layer 1 - DEI Reflect-a-gold
Layer 2 - Heatshield Products Standard exhaust wrap
Layer 3 - DEI Reflect-a-gold

Kicked off as top pic with end result as bottom.

Hey j,

Make sure you put a heli coil tap in the core on the water side...otherwise you will get water lock...because you need to bleed the air out...

In the gold brick? No thanks.

Im going to install it with a bottom to top flow setup with the inline filler cap on the top :D

No helicoiling for me.

Have a bleed already installed on the front heat exchanger that I am going to attempt to leave on the top. With some reo cutting this should be doable.

I have the coolant pump picking up from the bottom of the front mount heat exchanger and pumping into the bottom of the gold brick.
This should follow the heating of the coolant to match the natural rising tendency of hot liquid and sinking of cooling liquid.

Hi Ben,

2 inches wide x 60 foot of the reflect-a-gold.
Plus 1 inch x 30ft standard exhaust wrap.

Gotta be lucky but there is an ebay vendor that is on there from time to time and is by far the cheapest vendor on ebay of the DEI Reflectagold.

Happy to group buy, save on shipping, if you decide to pull the trigger. Might be worth throwing onto the TMIC.
