So it's been a couple of months now, and the grease-free bushes are still going well after some heavy rain and some minor dirt road driving.
Last time I got under there, there was no large collection of dirt at all - in fact it still looked pretty clean!
As expected, however, I have got a few squeaks happening when turning off steep-ish driveways, no doubt caused by minor amounts of dirt inside the bushes, but the key point here is that they are not binding! Overall, thumbs up for the grease-free bushes! I'm now happy to now only get under there perhaps twice a year to do a general wipe of dust to eliminate the squeak, but it's not really a big drama at all.
In addition to that, the extra width of the bushes over the originals has not been a problem at all - they haven't changed position, so no worries about them popping through their mounts, even after a track day.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...
