ECUTEK race ROM installed

Bit of fun. Upgraded my existing ECUTEK.

Had it set to activate in S# only.

Blips the throttle when shifting down through gears. Only works if you brake first then de-clutch.

Even makes a series of tight round-abouts more enjoyable.

Flat shift and launch control also activated but will leave launch control until a hill climb event or similar.

Have you enabled dual map control?

Launch control holds RPM at 4500 until wheels reach 8 km/h when it allows it to rev to 7000 over the period of 1 second.

Haven't done much to the car for ages. Did most of it within its first year. It will turn five next month and 33 000km.

Short list for anyone interested;

STi wheels (5)
Brembos
STi pinks
Cusco F&R LABs and sways.
GFB short shift
Dump pipe
ECUTEK
Hyperflow TMIC

I've always had different maps for 'I', 'S' and 'S#' with the standard ECUTEK. But are you referring to something else again?

I know you can have different boost for different gears (ie lower in first to avoid wheel spin) and different rev limits (say higher in second for a better 0 -100 time).

Interestingly, Sean set the throttle blip on down shift to 0.35 sec rather than the standard 0.3 sec for better shifting. You'd wonder if 0.05 sec would make a difference but it must. Similarly he sets the rev limit on launch control to 4500 rpm +/- 200 rpm rather than the standard tight 20 rpm as it's kinder to the engine.

As I said it's a bit of fun and somewhat hard to justify the $295- cost but I love all this stuff and is cheaper than a new car.

Sorry I stand corrected, it is EcuTek.
