Update time:

I'd been having issues with my coolant being a funny colour and getting air into my coolant no matter how many times it was bled. Had it diagnosed as being the head gasket (turns out this was probably wrong as it was found the my radiator plastic end tank had cracked).

Long story short I've had some huge assistance from people on and off the forum and the car is in a much better way now:

Owen (bspec) helped my source pretty much all my parts, was an invaluable source of information and a great resource for the forum. If you're in Victoria and need any parts I highly recommend you get in contact with him. He also put me onto Paul who is an amazing mechanic, did all the work from his garage and kept in touch with me the whole way so I knew what was happening. Have a chat to Owen if you need the referral, I highly recommend him.

Work done and additional mods are:
ARP2000 studs,
Tomei gaskets
New valve stem seals and valve seats machined (tested low pressure)
Heads machined
Dayco Timing belt
New water pump
ID1000's
AVO fuel pump
Pierburg 3 port BCS
Added the custom 3" mufflered centre from Hallam Performance
Perrin TMIC
Tomioka throttle body hose
Japanese Excedy heavy duty clutch
E85 tune by Matt

Massive thanks to Owen, Paul, Alex, Brian, Ben, Matt and anyone else who helped me diagnose, repair or improve!

Mufflered centre?
How quiet is it?
Do you have any straight through exhaust in your system?

Nice pic too!!!

Thanks mate,

It's just a nice volume, not overly loud, muffler is used instead of resonator to remove any drone. I've now got a phat dump, through this centre into 2.5" y into phat quads

Nice one.

I could not go a 2.5 y, just too loud with only resonator in center and almost straight through rear muffs.

Good going Ain..

Any comment on the tune. Was it on a dyno this time round and if so any numbers you'd care to share.

It will be a dyno tune, just have a conservative base tune to run around on for the time being for the change to e85. The car is just a weekender now so it doesn't get much use. Will be taking it relatively gently until I get the opportunity to jump on the dyno with Matt. Feels like a nice tune so far though, very smooth :)

Sounds like a lot of work has been to the car since I saw it last which was a long time ago.

I have no doubt its a blast to drive with all its new bits and pieces.

Great work mate as always.

Nice work.. Matt's really got his tunes firing now.

I reckon it's got to be time for a catch up.
