Hi all,

Have had my '05 3.0R-B for a year now, so figured it was high time I documented a few things. Have to say I am absolutely loving the car, have never found myself left wanting for power on the highway or in the hills, and the suspension setup is fantastic. What always blows me away the most though is the gearing in the 6sp box. Every gear change lands you right in the chunk of the torque curve, makes it so nice to drive.

07 grill?

That's interesting how's the fit? And what model was it off?
There may be more grill options then I thought for the 3RB :D

Doesn't fit perfectly. The top push-pins work fine, but it doesn't clip in at the bottom like the stock one. Leaves about a 5mm gap, you need to be on your hands and knees to see it. Nobody has ever noticed it. It's a stock 2.5L 07 grille, I liked the chunkier look better.

Few Libs getting around Adelaide now, which is good. Look forward to a catch up with some members. The Pedders springs are ok, the height is nice, but they're VERY firm. Not dual-rate or whatever you want to call it, so initial bump is harsh.

Thanks mate. Now you tell me you work at Subaru  Car is booked in at S&J tomorrow for 100,000km service. Car is at 120,000 and had an oil and filter change at 110,000 (I purchased at 108,000), previous owner said it had the 100,000 service done, but the log book gets a bit ambiguous around the time, so I figured what the hell, give it the works anyway for piece of mind.

That reminds me, need to get some Upper Engine Cleaner soon, which dealership are you at?

Will grab some off you soon, cheers. Not sure if S&J do it as part of their major service or not. If they don't, I'll be in contact sooner rather than later.

Well, starting to do a few bits here and there now. Centre diff is shot and a new one has been ordered from JapanParts ($620 air freighted, Subaru want $1440!!!!) and iwll be put in as soon as it lands.

In other news, some suspension upgrade parts have been ordered and I'll update with pics once they come in.

For now, only one package has arrived :( and that's the AVO rear sway bar mounts....

Looks like I should be ready for it Hamish. Didn't get the entry in today, but as soon as I'm certain it will be ready I'll give Sporting Car Club a call and see if I can jag a late entry.

Just fine. Audio quality is good, as it uses the line level out from the iPod, not the headphone jack. I usually listen to a whole album or put a playlist on anyway, so having to control from the iPod is no problem. Cheap and easy to install.
