If it was me I would take the middle rim.
I have 235/35/19, which is almost the same as 235/40/18 and no scrubbing, no guard work yet and pretty low currently.

This was the combo i was leaning towards.

Now to pick a brand of tyre.. hmmm. I can get cheap tyres through a friend at jax, so ill probably do that so i think kuhmo is out, really want something with less road noise than these falken 452's i have now.

Very very cheap.
Maybe message them and ask for date of manufacture.

If they aren't old I'd say they would be fine.

So i decided on new wheels. mostly because i found some on ebay i liked at a good price that had basically new rubber. but them on today.

Theyre koya CR Tek's in Matt Black 18x8.5 +40 with 225-40 Kuhmo KU31's.

Not sure what i think of the tyres yet, but im sure ill give them a good test on the cruise on sunday.

What do you all think? They do poke a little at the front...

They do poke a little, but not by much. You've got a similar setup to me (I have KU31's in 225/45/18 on 8.5" +44 rims), which makes your sidewalls more stretched than mine.

Had any rubbing, or are your rear guards rolled?
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

nah no rubbing. because theyre that little bit stretched i think i have a bit more clearance than my old ones.

I wanted to put 235's on them but yeah... couldn't argue with the price i got.

Nice, was looking at the same rims, although probably more like +45 offset. Want to run 245 tyres though... ;)
