Good luck with that Bruce. Sounds like the Mod Bug has bitten you seriously!!! And for a very good result, I might add. Keep up the good work and do make sure you join us in one of our cruises this year. I am sure we will fit several in (if I have my way).

Thanks Mark,

I'm hoping to get to as many meets as possible this year. And you're right I'm busy reading, learning and talking to as many people to make a decision on what I do. The modding bug has really gotten to me.

Not sure I can make the overnight cruises due to family commitments but really enjoyed the Christmas BBQ. Day cruises are fine.

I had Gambit(Anthony) over last night and he took my car for a test drive to check the quality of my Revzone tune.

Anthony gave the 'all good' so I'm happy to continue with my choice of tuner.

Whilst saving for the exhaust mid section and AVO TMIC I'm also looking at getting my suspension rebuilt by Trutrack to get rid of that damn Bilstein knock.

I haven't had a chance to with Christmas and holidays.

Planning on doing some this weekend as the weather is pretty average and I'm not going off to Phillip Island at this stage.

I'm hoping to sit in on Anthony to get some know how on this.

If you're interested and want to come over to Blackburn you can use the cable to log your data too.

PM me if interested.

Quick update:

Haven't done anything of late to the car. It's running beautifully and am having heaps of fun with it. It still feels pretty quick.

I have got the following bits winging their way over from Japan and around the world and some from within Australia as well.

Cusco front and rear sway bars
AVO rear sway bar mounts
AVO exhaust mid section and Y pipe being installed on Monday
Hyperflow TMIC
GrimmSpeed AOS
Subaru OEM VF52 turbo

These bits will be installed over February and early March

Then I'll be replacing my clutch with a Jim Berry clutch and install the Torsen diff. The clutch install whilst not necessary, will be done simply to save cost whilst the car is with Barrie Crocker.

Finally I'll get my suspension rebuilt at Trutrack with a AWD alignment and balance.

And a photo of the engine bay showing nothing new.

Very nice plans Bruce. Love the VF52 that's exactly what I was thinking of going for my Stage 2 also, the sweet spot of 220kw :D

Yeah I did a bit or research after our chat on Saturday night and spent the week sourcing one. PM me if you want prices.

I have to say your right that the VF52 is a good mod and by all authorities gives you 25% more power and from a price point pretty cheap.

So I won't get to explore the VF46 potential to reach 200kw but with the 52 and my mod list it should happen and reliably and safely.

And off course more to talk about at meets.

Nothing to see here officer. 8)

All mods must fit under those black covers or it won't happen on my car. :D

Haha I was going to say wasn't it you that was trying to get 200 off the stock turbo :P I was going to go VF52 but I thought might as well spend a few extra dollars on a better/bigger turbo and not have to push the turbo to get the figures I want, I should make them quite comfortably!

Good luck hope it goes well! Any supporting mods you're going to do with the turbo?

I was going to continue with the Vf46, but talking to people started me thinking. And then comes the research and questions and then the money flys out of my wallet.

I'm less hung about numbers now. As my experience and knowledge grows I'm become more inclined to just try and achieve a quick but very streetable car. I do most of my driving around town with a few trips down the coast on the weekend.

Happy dynos, tough dynos, dyno queens etc are all just numbers. I'm going to stick with Revzone as so far people who've driven my car have said it drives beautifully. Stuff the dyno numbers. Let's just make this car a sweet drive. 8)

Also I'm hoping to get my suspension, front diff and clutch done to get this car both driving and handling as well as can.
