Pretty much, the top mount can suffer heat soak from the engine while sitting at traffic lights and low speeds and ur limited to the size cooler u can fit there, u do get more lag from a front mount though

Sorry, your not Michael as well are you? I was actually just trying to catch PHAT's attention (without hijacking your thread)...

I do like the layout of your intercooler piping though! Top job someone's done there!

just noticed the standard bilsteins and stock springs rather than STI pinks, or did the previous owner change them to suit.

Goodluck with the tune too.

Surely they should be able to cross reference the VIN to the build number? That's assuming they did the intelligent thing and noted the VIN of the cars that they converted. If the VIN of your new car doesn't match any of their tbSTi builds then it could well have been sold as a GTB

Easy way to check…. Is to look for the secondary stage modification compliance label in the spare wheel well, all TB STI’s were fitted with one to cover the secondary modification made after leaving the factory.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

I already looked and it does have the secondary tag in the wheel well, Subaru docklands confirmed it was genuine but they couldn't tell me a build number which is strange

Very lazy. Either from the people you are talking to now or their "builders" back in 07/08 not taking down the numbers.
